I was really hoping he would step it up this year. This will put him deeper in the dog house with this regime.

I don't know, I think the Bengals could always use another criminal.

Headcoach material wouldn’t want to work somewhere they’re not trusted with actual football decisions.

Dear God.

Listen fellas, pregnant girlfriends can be BITCHES, but you can't hit em'. It's against the rules.

Nice knowing you, Phil.

If you punch a pregnant woman, you are the lowest scum of the earth imaginable. No excuses and no explaining the context.

Merling is a piece of **** and I hope we just simply cut him.

Tanking is like taking a Greyhound bus cross-country. Sure, it may eventually get you where you want to go, but it’s messy and unpleasant and uncomfortable, it stinks, the entire time you’ll be wishing you weren’t there, and not everybody along for the ride is going to make it to the end. - Quote stolen from Deadspin

Brandon Flowers, Donnie Avery, John Carlson, Jermichael Finely, Tracy Porter, Ray Rice, Desean Jackson, Cliff Avril, Slaton, just name a few all picked after him.....

I know it is easy now to say should have picked him....but nver the less...just information...

What a waste. We have had a couple of wife beaters before.Randy Mc Michael for one.He was shipped out.

Its posible this regime drafted Odrick because they suspected or knew Merling had personal problems

I dont know for sure but apparently he was selected because he was the BPA on Ireland's board. They didnt scout him that much.

SIGH......as well as the Triumvirate have done, they could have done so much better. But that is all hindsight.

Sigh, not like i didn't see it coming.I saw the headlines but it was no surprise. Time for a training camp rookie to step up and take this pathetic losers spot. I'm amazed at how these guys take these opportunities to play in the NFL for granted. So many people devote there lives to get into this sport and D***S like merling just p**S it all away. Way to be a role model.

Hate to be the one to say it, but this is still the United States and Merling is innocent until proven guilty. I havent heard a single detail about what happened so I wont pass judgement. You guys should slow down with the condemnations, just my opinion.

there usually are two sides to every story
we haven't even received confirmation
on the first side & we're trading him to the Bengals
wouldn't be too hasty in casting that first stone
just might be more to this than has been reported
