My goodness yes, think of all of the perfectly good time that was wasted trying to say otherwise about Henne over the yrs.. Not sure how much weight to give Pauline as I don't believe I've used him as a source before.
If RG111 and Jones both stay in school, we may have no choice but to ride with Moore. Although, if those guys staying out push Osweiler, maybe Tyler Wilson, in, then it might be a net wash. God help us.
Incredibly ridiculous. Although that would basically cement "RG111 does not really want to be a pro football player" from speculation to reality. Jones I sort of get. Although that being said, if all these guys stay in, next year really is the QB class of the century, albeit without the can't miss guy.
Or it shows that he really wants to see how far Baylor can go after these 4 years of building, considering he's always talked about how special what they are doing at Baylor is. I mean Luck could've been the #1 pick last year, but he still went back to school.
I suppose. although RGIII (see, I changed it) is smart enough to know that Baylor's odds of competing for a National title, or even a BCS game, are fairly low. Not like Barkley, in that USC at the very least is the Rose Bowl favorite for next year
Chill Bro, keep in mind these are very young men and we are only hearing rumors at this point in time. That would reduce this Qb class from incredibly deep to "Andrew Luck and the side kicks" but we don't KNOW this is how things will play out.
If Matt Barkley, Robert Griffin and Landry Jones all announce they're staying in school, then this is a shining example of: A) Why I keep talking about Brandon Weeden, B) Why I kept consistently rejecting the notion that we skip out on 2011's banner QB class in favor of the 2012 class Also it would give Tyler Wilson and Brock Osweiler the opportunity to come out early and fill the void. Wilson seems more likely than Osweiler, as I know Wilson has already been thinking hard on the possibility.
Luck had not graduated yet. Griffin has. Griffin going back to school would be as big a red flag, in its own way, as Matt Leinart's decision to go back to school.
I think Os should come out. He's not really a fit for Todd Graham's offense and he is already getting 2nd round buzz. He is a first round lock in a draft without Barkley/RGIII/Jones
Sure, if you're basing this on the assumption that the QBs available to draft will become one of the elite QBs in the league. What are the odds of that?
The odds are not great, but after ten plus eyars of mediocrity I'm ready to roll the dice on possible greatness. If we crap put the results won't be much worse than we've already gone through.
Is there a particular reason you don't see him as a fit for Todd Graham's offense? I like him but I don't think he's coming out even if Barkley/Griffin/Landry all stay. I think the guy that will pounce on the opportunity would be Tyler Wilson.
Stop quoting Peter King, please. He was on a show with Barkley and attempted to transparently convince Barkley to say. He's projecting. The odds are slightly in favor of Barkley coming out.
I hope Barkley comes out, but I have said from the beginning that I would be happy with several QBs in this draft. Luck, Barkley, Tannehill and Weedon are still all guys I like over everybody but Newton in the last draft. I expect that by the time the draft process plays out they will all be considered first round picks.
Quick informal pool: Barkley stays in school Barkley declares for the draft just post your answer Imo, Barkley is coming out./
I think he'll declare. I'd imagine his father knows more about what Barkley's going to do than his teammates.
