I do a pretty good job at just being entertained, especially given my background in virology research. But, it would have been much easier to believe if it was much more of a traumatic injury to the guy, or at least a lot more blood.

I thought I remember someone implying there was bacteria from the walker anytime someone is bitten, and it in turn causes death. I do not remember exactly where that came from, Books, show or Talking Dead.

yeah, I think it's reminiscent of a Komodo dragon. but it's still makes no sense. Everyone is already infected, the guy at the CDC already stated it. So, a bite should only lead to turning if it's life threatening and you're on your way out and it overwhelms your compromised system. Normally, they manage it correctly, they just dropped the ball in this case.

like i said earlier in the thread, when i went back and watched the first season there were all kinds of inconsistencies with the walkers using their hands to pick stuff up and with them climbing fences.

not the best of episodes. thought Darryl was going to bring those 3 people back to Alexandria. Thought the diabetic girl would be a nice replacement for Beth in the group. Little cheesy how they made it so easy for her to die in the greenhouse.

Decent. Happy to see it start out the way it did. Next week gonna be epic. Would be typical if Maggie gets axed.

I was going to say they wouldn't do that with this show, but quickly remembered Rick's wife giving birth via C-Section with Maggie's help, so it's very possible.

The fans protested Glenn's death....I wouldn't think as many would do the same for Maggie.

I'm more interested in what happens with Ron. Did Rick and/or Carl remove the firing pin before giving that knucklehead a weapon? They had to see he is up to no good.

meh.... not sure it lived up to the previews/hype... it was okay. interesting that it has been confirmed (if you watched Talking Dead) that Eugene was the one on the walky talky asking for help, when Daryl, Abraham and Sasha were heading back in their truck. Just to give an idea of how the timelines are syncing up. Doesn't look like those three make it back anytime soon though, running into Negan and the Saviors. All your bases belong to me!

Great return of the show so far, Jesus is a cool dude.
Couldn't help laughing when the group was saving Jesus' friends, and they kept telling them when they found another one, "It's ok, we're with Jesus." The buildup to the introduction of Negan is slowly gaining speed.

All three of the episodes this year have been really good. I don't think Negans group is going to go down easy. I like the Jesus character also.

what a cop out. Neegan's introduction, which was flawless in the comic book, is tainted. Why would they purposefully ruin the emotional impact of that final scene and Neegan's intro? I can't believe anyone would think it was smart to half *** the ending. My only guess is that TPTB are scared of fan backlash if we saw who he killed. In fact, it wouldn't surprise me if TPTB cop out and have Neegan kill one of the lesser characters, like Aaron.

Terrible finale with an even worse cliffhanger.

    I liked the episode.

I hated the cliff hanger ending. I think it cheapens the event.

I suspect you comic book readers have an educated guess as to who met Lucille. They talked about that last night on the Talking Dead. But I don't think it's him. I have gone thru the video and have an educated guess as to who it is. It makes the most sense from who Negan would want to kill. He's not going to kill a woman. Whoever he killed was to Rick's left (if you go by the video, the camera angles when looking at Lucille and lighting). He's going to kill someone that is weak because he wants the rest of them to earn for him (like a mob boss would). That showed the most emotion/fear when looking at Lucille. And it's someone the rest of the characters (in the RV) had already said goodbye to (and the audience as well). I think it was Eugene. And if they had killed him last night, no cliffhanger... and not as much of a buildup to next season.

I just don't get how he gets caught so quickly. Weak... Brony Tail...Should have kept the mullet.

EDIT: Forgot to mention.... during the whole "eenie meanie minie moe" thing, Everyone that was there they showed twice... except three... Glenn, Rosita and Eugene (they only showed them once)... Eugene was the next one that should have been shown in terms of those three (based on the first time they were shown in order). Buuut... Glenn was the last to be shown the first time of all...

Anyway, I expect that next season starts out several weeks from last night's final scene, in terms of time within the show. We'll eventually be shown, over the course of the first half of next season, the survivors of Lucille and what they are currently up to. I predict that they don't show what happens with Maggie/Glenn/GlaggieBaby until the first half season finale. We'll be going down the list of characters as the episodes progress and ticking them off in terms of who survived and which one didn't. Of course, that doesn't mean that a couple of them don't die in their season premiers.

I'm thinking Glenn or Eugene as well. Eugene would make sense like you said - because they said their goodbyes and it would have minimal impact on the flow of the story. Glenn would be more awesome to shake up the show (and my wife because Glenn reminds her of me, or more likely my half-Asian brother Glenn)

I thought the first 3 episodes came out like gang busters. It had to be the bloodiest episodes ever, but things cooled off. I didn't like how the last show went. Too much out of character for everyone in the group.

yeah, it was kind of silly that they didn't put up much of a fight. To start, they were bad asses against Negan's group... rocket launchers... 3 am special ops raid stuff... But then they are scared of some dudes whistling at them... The episode seemed forced. It could have been better... Clark Kent had a point.

I don't agree that it's been "bad" but it's never consistently good. It'll be good for stretches but often times, plot archs overstay their welcome. The farm in season 2, the Governor in season 4,
and now Alexandria. At least, inside the community. Alexandria's introduction lasted too long. To the point where they had to have a ridiculous premier where the survivors find a giant pit full of walkers, and instead of eliminating them harmlessly from a distance or just leaving them alone (they were trapped...), come up with an over complicated plan to lure them out, and send them walking into a harmless direction, etc... Was that needed? Did it move the story forward? Did the characterization lead to important developments? Nope, just Glenn's fake death scene and contrived emotional "drama" that served little purpose. I mean, the whole thing with Jessie and her kids at the mid-season finale, should of meant something to someone, right? Isn't that why we spent so much time getting to know her, her family, and the plot line of Rick's jealousy and beating the **** out of her husband prior to killing him? No, she dies, and he's hooking up with Michonne an episode or so later. Contrived, drawn out BS... Hate it.

The good news is... Rather than wondering aimlessly, the show should get good again.

1). The comic book was NEVER better during this Alexandria/Neegan arc.
2). Neegan is so much more interesting than the Governor and makes for a great villain. I'll say no more...
3). We now have 4 communities (Alexandria, Hilltop, Neegan's home base, and Morgan/Carol's new friends).

The show, if it follows the comic book, will become more interesting with the show being able to have legit A, B, and C story lines, with different communities, locations, politics, etc... With Neegan looming over everything. I have no idea why they dragged it out so long... This should of been introduced much sooner, but whatever. Season 7-8 should be awesome, assuming they don't resolve certain plots all in season 7. Then again, I don't put it past TWD to screw it up...

But what came of it? TWD is like a Michael Bay film. Cool action sequences w/dumb plots. The whole premise of moving the walker heard didn't advance or add to the story. It was just a cool sequence of violence. Same for the overrunning of Alexandria. Cool sequence that didn't mean anything. If only the writers could create real plot threads that matter and build action sequences around them instead of the opposite, this would be a truly great show.
