The LenDale White experiment in Seattle is over.
White was released on Friday.
"It became apparent at this time that LenDale was not ready to be a member of the Seattle Seahawks," Seahawks GM John Schneider said. "It just did not appear to be the right fit at this point in our program. We wish LenDale all the best with his future."
Acquired from the Tennessee Titans in a trade, White reported to the Seahawks in great shape. He was down to 220 pounds after being 250 pounds at times as a member of the Titans.
White came to the Seahawks during the third day of the NFL draft. The team also acquired defensive tackle Kevin Vickerson.
The trade reunited White with Seahawks coach Pete Carroll, whom White played for at USC.
White posted this message on his Twitter page about an hour after the Seahawks made his release official: "God is good. All the time !!"
The Seahawks gave up on White after he had only limited chances to display his work ethic. He participated in one minicamp and a handful of organized team activities on the practice field before the team waived him.
White had lost more than 45 pounds last year, saying that when he stopped drinking tequila the pounds starting falling off. He was down to 220.

Larry LittlesubscriberThe people who I have spoken to here in Nashville, who have claimed to have met Lendale, all say the same thing: He thinks he's some kind of gangster, and is an arrogant jerk. It's a real surprise to me that a former college coach would cut a player so quickly, but if the rumors about him are true, Carroll cutting him after only a month-or-so, would be no shock to me at all.
I guess he's just another physically talented player with rocks between his ears. Lots of good men would give their right arm for the opportunities he's been given, and he's just pissing it all away. What an incredible moron... but, he's just one more in a long list of them.
I don't want him anywhere near the Dolphins... unless we're playing Cincinnati.

Yeah that and you're looking at a guy that has basically underachieved since being drafted. Be that due to the rocks between his ears or lack of motivation or whatever. Besides, at this point, Sexy Lexy has more potential for us than Lendale... Of course, I also don't like the idea of adding another player named White that hasn't produced...LOL...

What is worse, he lost all of the weight, but his bulk is what made him a goal line RB, he replaced the weight with nothing, he is merely a smaller version of what used to make him effective.
