I must admit that this move makes no sense to me. Everyone else is focusing on trimming down to their 53 man roster and we grab another guy? One the eve of Long's injury this is awfully odd. (IMHO)

Sounds like a good move on Ireland's part... Just a replacement for Garner, although he's no where near as good a Garner, he's a body that they know and has played tackle who could fill in if Carey or Long have issues...At least he is a better option than Murtha or Gardner have shown.
