It's a slang term for the "9-11 Truth" movement.

No it's not. It's an epithet used by those who disagree with the 9/11 Truth Movement's message. It's always used in a derogatory manner in every instance I've seen. I find it hard to believe that, you RikWriter would innocently use such a popular word out of sheer ignorance of the word's implications but, if you did, that's cool. (< slang)

Children? Heaven's No!...They would ruin the planet, I'm secretly raising an army of ****roaches to rule the world....I've seen the future and people ain't in it...

The Catholic Functionary was basically pointing out that Catholics should have those things on their minds as a matter of social conscience I.E. throwing a hot dog wrapper out of you window is not the same as dumping PCB's into lakes and rivers...

BTW inFINS, if a company pollutes, and a company is a paper person ( a legal fiction), hwo could that company be guilty of anything...hmmm...

I'm through about half of it. The Christianity stuff is interesting. Frankly its why I call myself a Deist. I'll try to finish the rest later tonight and give my thoughts.

I finished it. It was very interesting. Part 3 really got me thinking about what I've been reading about our Founding Fathers lately. Madison flipped sides and joined Jefferson to battle the Federalists, led by Alexander Hamilton who wanted to establish a national bank.

I thought Madison flipped because Jefferson was his mentor and he wanted to help his fellow Virginians out. But that Jefferson quote they had in the movie speaks to the fear they had of Hamilton and his bank. They really believed Hamilton was part of a conspiracy.

I would be more inclined to agree with Jefferson and the premise of the movie if they could lock down the 9/11 thing. I doubt I will ever be sold on the conspiracy theory without more proof than these types of movies try to give.

And I don't see how the Christianity thing at the beginning relates to the rest of the film. It was interesting but did they even attempt to connect it to everything else?

I'm no expert on demolitions but the speed in which those buildings fell, perfectly in their own footprint. ALL THREE of them. screams to me that they were intentionally destroyed.

WTC 7 was never even touched and it collapsed in a CLASSIC demo fashion.

When the twin towers collapsed, why would they have begun collapsing from the very top down? Why wasn't there a 20 or 30 story chunk riding down on top of the collapse?

It just doesn't make sense to me.

That's because you just admitted you're no expert. People who ARE experts know that what you've said there makes no sense. WTC7 was "touched" by fire and debris.
    http://www.popularmechanics.com/technology/military_law/1227842.html?page=5#wtc7

The towers collapsed from the top down because the load-bearing structures were weakened by the burning jet fuel, which travelled down the elevator shafts. That left several floors above the damage pushing down on the floors below, which caused a vertical collapse.

You wanna trot out studies from The National Institute of Standards and Technology? For real? Wouldn't a government funded (to the tune of 843 million dollars last year) organization be a little biased?

Please....that's akin to christians quoting the bible as proof of the existence of god.

And this is what drives me up the wall, a mere accusation of bias, is proof of bias, if you are so certain that they are biased, then prove it, you know you cannot, yet you can use a mere accusation of bias and take it as Gospel Truth.

Plain fact is, you want to believe there is a bias, whether there is one or not, to not believe that the report is unbiased would erode a pillar of that shakey tower that these sorts of films build and promote.

Habeas corpus ad subjiciendum inFINS, where is the body of your claim of bias? Produce it if it is true.

I don't see logic in this statement. The NIST IS a government agency. They are a PART OF the government.

Are you trying to say that universities are government organizations?

    Bingo!

It's an act of faith, that somehow, someway, the Govt not only was involved, but the Institutional "fix" was in, whether any of that can be proven or not...

They don't choose to believe, they MUST believe...:pity:

Who said it was PROOF of bias? I simply asked a question. Why would you me or anyone else take the word of a government agency as gospel if the agency in question is a part of the government in question?

Judges and attorneys excuse themselves from cases all the time when there is even the slightest hint of a conflict of interests.

I don't think me making note of a GIANT conflict of interest between this agency and our government and questioning the positions in relation to each other requires anything other than pointing out the relationship.

So, if it's a body you want, here it is....www.NIST. GOV.

    Linkey no worky.

Anywho, whether the NIST is a part of .gov or not, for a claim of bias to be colourable, there must be some proof of the bias, i've read what the BYU professor had to say, I've read the popular mechanics issue (and of course, that is a Bushie conspiracy as well) and I've been over this particular ground literally dozens of times.

I even bothered to watch Alex Jone's conference on C-Span, and watched the "9/11 was an inside job" stuff from loose change:

    http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=7866929448192753501

And while long on hyperbole, they are short on facts and scientific "proof", that coin of the realm in any conspiracy.

For me, to say "bias" and then disregard what is being said without weighing it first for factual honesty, and consistency in honesty is intellectual laziness, on such an important matter, who can afford that, unless of course the outcome is predetermined obviating the need for any serious person review of both sides of the issue.

No, it doesn't matter to me whether it was a "fix" or whether it was "allowed to happen" or whether our government was completely blindsided by a bunch of cavemen....what does matter to me, is satisfying MY curiosity and forming my own conclusions.

By interacting with you and certain others (some people are completely useless in this forum) and learning your views and the things that you know, then my information becomes more complete.

I'm slowly coming to the conclusion, that it was as real as the day I watched it all happen.

The only thing distasteful to me about coming to this conclusion is that it forces me to be in agreement with some posters who I wouldn't piss on if they were on fire.

I will grant that there was some strange stuff that went on, like Able Danger identifying Atta, the normal Air force patrols just happened to be way off in hinterlands, flight 93 and the shoot down order, when the first plane hit the WTC, the aircraft that were scrambled went out to sea instead of inland.

I will stipulate that those things raise my eyebrows, the "WTC buildings were pre-rigged with explosives and thermite" stuff just is not plausible...

The kicker for me, was the Pentagon flight (77?), the 9/11 was an inside job folks claim that it could not be a plane, it was a missile, yet two online friends of mine were in DC on 9/11, and in the area of the pentagon, one saw wreckage a block away were it had been landed after the impact.

So for myself, the evidence points to 19 hijackers, "but" if an indictment could be made, it would be issued for the Federal Govt's incompetence, these guys literally did everythign they could to be caught outside of a "On September 11th we will be boarding such and such a flight to crash them" emails and billboards and interviews.

If one wants to see the level of incompetence, look at Able Danger, the CIA/DIA gave briefings to the FBI concerning Atta, but they put yellow sticky notes on his picture and never mentioned him by name due to the Amy Gorelick memo and the "Wall of Seperation" between Intel Activities and Law Enforcement..

    I found that breathakingly stupid....
