NYJets, Team Total Yards Pass & Rush: 171 yards. Ryan Tannehill, Total Yards Pass & Rush: 172 yards. That amused me. Discuss.
I had a Jets fan tell me today, "That ****ing Sparano better not be fist pumping on our sidelines." I told him he was in for a real treat with Sparano's offense. But hey, Greg McElroy almost broke 50 yards passing!
I hate the Jets just as much as the next guy, but let's wait until the games matter before laughing at stats.
Tannehill looked good. I really think he has a good chance to perform well in preseason and grab the starting spot come week #1
If it's close, he'll get the nod. No doubt in my mind. It's funny how everyone kept talking about how much time he was going to need, yet here he is performing better and better each day and producing in actual game situations.
I know you're slow and easily confused by most things. BUT, if I ever catch you stopping a Dolphin fan from laughing at/ridiculing the Jets, I will come to where you live, poop in a bag, set it on fire, ring your doorbell, and then...stop you from stomping on it because you probably forgot to put on your shoes, and I don't want you to get burnt.....REGARDLESS....don't do it anymore, Stoopid.
Trust me, I make fun of the Jets more than anyone. I live in Jets country. I will ALWAYS support it. But, our starters played like crap tonight so I'm not in the mood. All though, it is a nice remedy.
I am actually ashamed someone yelled at me for not making fun of the Jets. I feel that it's my job being a Dolphins fan in Jet country. I have let me people down tonight. It won't happen again.
He was a someone. A special someone too. Then he forced me to do shameful things on his personal camera. All he had to do was ask nicely.
****. You thought the camera was personal? Oooppss. Hey, on a completely unrelated note, don't go to RockyAndTheGoatAndTheMailmanAndTheOtherGoat.com.
I know it was 1 preseason game but Man I'm pretty excited about Tannehill. Miami might actually have the 2nd best QB in the AFC East.
One of the most underrated comedies of all time. Bill Murray not being nominated for an Oscar for playing Big Ern is a travesty.
I was actually at the Bengals vs. Jets game last night. The Jets offense sucked. I'm not sure of the exact stats, but I'd bet 50 of those yards came off Tebow scrambles where he had absolutely nowhere to throw to. Cincinnati even had some injuries early on as well - Rey Maualuga & Carlos Dunlap both left with knee sprains - and the Jets still couldn't do much of anything. Tebow as a passer is absolutely atrocious; there's no sugarcoating that. He had a wide open receiver on a fade pass that most QBs would have hit for a 40-45 yard touchdown. He came closer to hitting a cheerleader in the foot it was so far out of bounds. Jets run defense looked okay, nothing special. BenJarvus Green-Ellis had his way for the most part. The only matchup the Jets dominated was Darrelle Revis covering A.J. Green. I hate to say it, but if there's one Jets player that's tops in the NFL at any position, it's him, and I'd say by a considerable amount. He was outstanding. But the Jets as a whole, looked pretty bad in all facets.
Tell you what I noticed from their starters. They couldn't pass protect..Sanchez was under pressure his whole time, with two clean sacks and more hurries. They couldn't rush the passer with their base guys, gonna have to dial it up on blitzes to get it. They couldn't run the ball, probably because of their oline. they seem to be very susceptible to crossing routes from running backs because of their slowness at linebacker. Tebow looked quick and strong, he may of gained some weight but it didn't affect his escapability, he made a couple of poor throws but he made a couple of decent ones..
