What do you prefer? I prefer PPR leagues, I think a reciever should get credit for catching a ball. They have to work to get open, and haul it in. That shouldn't go unrewarded, IMO.

I don't like PPR leagues. Just like real football, if you don't go anywhere with the ball, you've accomplished nothing and you shouldn't be rewarded.

I like leagues with yardage bonuses. ie Your quarterback starts out getting only 1 point per 20 yards from 1 - 100 yards, and 2 points per 20 yards from 100-200 and so forth. If your QB has a great day throwing the ball, the points pile up.

I also like a couple of leagues that I play in where RBs get 2 points for every 10 yards rushing. The logic is, you typically have 4 players that gain points for receiving yards and only two that gain rushing yards. To spread the wealth, running backs get double points for every 10 yards. Also puts a premium on RBs.

Not a big fan of leagues where individual players get points for return yards or special team TDs. No fun to see rosters stacked with special team players while real WRs ride the bench.

Basically everyone likes the leagues they are most comfortable with. I think standard scoring leagues are kinda boring, but still fun.

Either way, this fantasy football is a great way to kill time! Can't wait till tomorrow...

Accomplished nothing? What about beating your defender with crisp routes, great moves. And then having the hands to make a great catch, whether it be leaping, diving, etc.

You're right though, I can't wait to get this thing rollin!

Yes, accomplished nothing. If you make a great catch for 0 yards, it's still 2nd and 10. You've accomplished nothing. In fact, you've probably accomplished worse than nothing. Your receiver probably took a nasty hit on that 0 yard gain, or maybe even a loss.

Okay but how many teams are going to keep throwing to someone for 0 yards? By making a catch you have done something.

When i usually do PPR leagues we change the points for receiving yards to 1 per 20 yards to try and even out the WRs points

Include TEs, and I would agree. I was always draft runner for my friend's league like this, and it was a lot of fun to do.

My favorite type of league is the one where I win.

But really, I like 10- or 12-team leagues with PPR scoring and a flex slot.
