It's my father's middle name and it is Scottish in origin. I actually like the name. I just like to give myself a hard time
I was born and raised in Florida. Though Utah is a beautiful state, the only time I have spent there was at the airport in SLC.
If we're talking Asian names I have the All-Time greatest. There were 3 kids in the same family that went to my High School. The oldest, a girl, was named "Annie Ho". She had a younger brother my age named "Man Ho". And the best Asian name ever was their little brother "Quack Ho" We didnt rag on them too much as they were 3 of the nicest kids you'd ever meet. Man Ho is actually a professional poker player now and was on the WSOP main event on ESPN.
Thats the thing with asians, they might seem to have all the chips against them, having funny names and seem to be destined to be nerds. But when they grow up, theyll own your *** in anything from chess to finances.
At the firm I work for we used to deal with a supplier called Dick Pryde... if that wasn't funny enough the best was when one of my male co-workers managed to get a favour out of dick, put the phone down and said "oh man I love Dick!...." uh-hu.... that was 2 years ago and he still hasn't lived it down! I swear there was no work done in the office for about an hour after that!
The worst was a gal I went to High School with, her name was......and no kidding......... Anita Cox poor gal.....
Well...if you ever decide to change your name, that would fit, you would never need to tell anyone your sexual preference!
Don't look now, but there's a new Japanese model with the name: Shiho http://www.shihomagazine.com/index.html Also a singer: http://wiki.theppn.org/Watanabe_Shiho Pronounced: "She-Ho" (with a long o)
Used to have a Juana Bumpers on our payroll... and I did go to school with a Mike Hunt although he preferred Michael (just can't understand why...) Then there was a baseball player named Rusty Kuntz... http://www.baseball-reference.com/k/kuntzru01.shtml
True: I rode in an airport Car Rental van that was driven by Mr. Levi Tate (name plate and all)! I couldn't stop laughing as we headed to the rental location. Rumor: Have always heard stories about a family that named one daughter Lemonjello (La Mon G low) and the other Orangejello (O Ron G low).....the pronunciation was fancy, but you guessed it, She came up with the names walking through the grocery store. If I ever ran into this person, and it turned out to be true, I wanted to suggest she name her son Tomato (Tom A Tay O) and her other son Lettuce (La 2 See).
I dont see why. Its the same as being named Virginia or Georgia. Imagine being named FinSane. Everywhere you go, people say "Madness?? This is...finsanity!"
I told my wife I wanted to name our son Lucas Skyler... Then he would've been Luke Sky Locher... I was totally kidding, but the look on her face after I threw out that second part was so worth it... ...especially since she kind of liked the suggestion at first...
There's a few States that women can be named after, Florida, Virginia, Georgia, Carolina...still waiting on an Idaho.
i had a friend named richard long in elementary school....he was weird one, and his family was weird as hell...now that i think about it i think his mom named him that on purpose...poor guy
