Cornerback Kevin Hobbs, who started two games for the Lions last season, was signed as well. Hobbs, a fourth-year pro from Auburn, was wearing No. 41 and split some repetitions with undrafted rookie Ross Weaver on the third-team defense. According to a league source, Hobbs signed a two-year contract. Hobbs played in 14 games for the Lions last season, making 37 combined tackles. He forced one fumble and had one pass defensed. He also played in 14 games for the Seahawks in 2008, his second season with the team. Hobbs also spent time with the Falcons in 2006. http://www.sun-sentinel.com/sports/...olphins-taurus-johnson-081210,0,5859152.story On Wednesday the Dolphins reportedly worked out two other cornerbacks: Frank Walker, who has spent time with the Giants, Packers and Ravens; and Matteral Richardson, who has spent time with the Redskins, Texans and Browns.
The fact that we're not looking at O lineman shows me we're not as banged up there as all these updates are indicating. But why are we looking at CBs? With Carrolls superb camp, Jason Allen proving he;s worth keeping around,Will Allen (while still not healthy, he is out there) and of course VD and Smith, i would think that's the last position we need more guys at.
I think W. Allen is a bit of a question mark. There was a report that he was sent to the doctor today. At a minimum, his reps in practice and preseason games will be limited so they need camp bodies.
