http://www.palmbeachpost.com/sports...lineup-patriots-ready-for-opener-1826777.html With all this shuffling going on, does this give an advantage to the Dolphins or is it the opposite?
Thanks. Its guys like you and countless others here on this site that makes me want to come back again and again on this site to talk Dolphins. Here's to a great NFL season! Go Dolphins!!!
New England doesn't exactly look like the powerhouse they used to be, at least on paper. It wouldn't shock me if the Pats took a step back. There's a long way to fall from 14-2.
"When I was in college you'd hear 'Belichick this, Belichick that,' " Odrick said. "But that mystique washes off when you get to this level. There's a respect, obviously. He's a man, like the rest of us, and the rest of those players are just like us. I put my pants on the same way as they do." With a smile, he added, "I may have put mine on a little faster than Haynesworth when I woke up this morning." Future fearless leader of the Miami Dolphins, former Big ten player of the year and Team Captain.
I'm so psyched about this game....I'm tellin' ya we're gonna shock these guys monday night, and all we'll hear Tuesday is excuses from "experts" as to why this happened.
"Easy, guys.. I put my pants on just like the rest of you -- one leg at a time. Except, once my pants are on, I make gold records!!!" -- Bruce Dickinson
yeah, well, your the one who shoud get a room.. Thats a reference from Tommy Boy, if you didn't get it old man..
Patsies and the Saints are falling into the same bin IMO. probably both win a lot of games, but their defenses are getting worse every year. Saints won the superbowl when their aggressive defense got a ton of turnovers. not so much last year, result = playoff loss at Seattle. New England's defense was mediocre as hell last year. but they had a great offense and had a great turnover ratio. I personally don't believe that a mediocre defense can do that consistently every year. So, while I see patsies dominating on offense, if they turnover ratio comes down a bit, they will fall back to the pack. really, the two factors to us winning the division: turnover ratio and schedule. former being more important, IMO
Good observation...I've been debating with a friend (KC fan) about the Patriots for a while. He thinks theres no chance in hell for anything other than a patriots sweeping fins this year. I just don't see it...he considers the pats as invincible as ever. I say their defense is too weak for the same success of years past. They'll still get into some impressive shoot outs and win alot of games, but I don't know that they can out shoot a team like the Chargers or even Steelers on a good day. Guess the year will play it out one way or another. I'm feeling reservedly optimistic for Monday. Hope we come out with a bang and surprise the **** out of damn near everyone =D
