I would ABSOLUTELY shake the dice on this guy. I think he is the most talented DE in the draft. From a talent standpoint, he is NOT Dion Jordan, but yeah, the off field stuff does concern me. Honestly, he might be the best player in the draft.

He's got some moves and has a burst, but he's undersized for DE and not strong at the point of attack. He's slow and not fluid in coverage. He's not a smart football player, lacks awareness. Guy got cut blocked like 12 times against Valparaiso, can't sniff out a screen. Plus he's got an ecstasy drug problem. I think he's head and shoulders above most pass rushing prospects but I think we're better off with either of the Clemson DE's imo. He'll be good somewhere like Green Bay as a 3-4 OLB.

I have to say I get most of my opinions from Louis Tee 2016 NFL Draft Prospects on youtube. He rips apart Emmanuel Ogbah, as well. But he watches the tape and gives an entertaining, in-depth review of prospects.

Otherwise, I just read as many different opinions as possible online and watch youtube highlights and clips.

    I'm guessing Reggie Ragland @13.

Im thinking Eli Apple at 13 is starting to make sense. Ive watched the guy from day 1 and I believe he will be a very solid pro regardless of where he ends up.

Watching film on him is impressive. he makes a heck a lot of solo tackles and reads the run real well.

Considering the division that we play in, I think Ragland would be a mistake for us. I seriously love speed of Jack and thought to myself, this guy could cover Gronkowski and Charles Clay. I do not think Ragland is that kind of guy. Ragland is more of a physical run stopping guy. That being said, our run defense was pretty bad last year, and he would certainly improve it. Generally speaking, my biggest fear within the division is the passing attack especially in New England.

If I were running the team, I would seriously be looking at Spence (the key to stopping Brady is pass rush), Apple, and Elliott (I do think he is a game changer). I would have really liked to get Jack, but I think the Eagles fiasco ended that hope.

Most mocks have us taking MacKenzie Alexander. Also tied to Hargreaves, Apple, Conky and Darren Lee. I'm okay with any of those guys.

Second round seems more intriguing from a value standpoint. Somebody is gonna fall or they should basically take the guard they like the best.

At this point after getting rid of Lamar, which really angered me more than the Dolphins have since 66, i would definately like to draft Elliot..if not him maybe Derrick Henry. Lamar would have busted out in the Gase offense and was right there nearing closely the Jamal Charles level without the injuries..Lamar also had stated it would not have taken 6.5 million to re sign with us..he would have given a hometown discount at about 850,000 less per year...now we are struggling with only one back to speak of and desperately need another one....please, just find them in the draft.

Not at 13..coming out of a 34 defense
..we need 43 backers DE 'S,DB's, etc...we have to draft players that have played in the 43 defense to get the most out of the players imho
Actually, i too would hope we trade back and gain as many picks as possible

Was watching someone talk about Derrick Henry the other day, and they said he doesn't see the field well enough, something about cut backs and stuff, and they didn't think he'd be a good NFL prospect.

Any link on the Miller comment? We're supposed to believe that Miller left Miami over $150,000? Didn't we offer 5.5 million? He signed for $6.5 million a year.

Face it, Lamar was leaving Miami, not that I blame him. Shy of making him the highest paid back in the league, he wasn't staying in Miami.

I really want to go look through comments from the past couple seasons, cause I'm sure some people complaining about Miller being gone were the same people complaining that Miller couldn't carry more than 15 times a game.

You are not being honest with yourself in regards to Tannehill
Hopefully with Gase, his footwork, and pocket awareness improves dramatically or we cannot justify paying him 20 mil next year...these 2 improvements that are critical have nothig to do with the offensive line.

You really want to restart the pocket presence debate, while simultaneously saying that the oline had no affect on it???

    Come on, man.

Also, looking at the contacts that guys like Osweiler got, I bet many teams would be willing to pay Tannehill $20 million a year.

I would habe to throw Noah Spenve into the Mix..

.honestly y"all will think I am crazy but I would try to trade with Tennessee for the #1 overall and draft Carson Wentz. Hear me out on this. I love the approach again to build through the draft, signing FA 's sparingly
I feel that we need 2-3 drafts to do this. Wentz can sit behind Ryan next year and learn the playbook and be our backup allthe while learning and practicing. I like Ryan but he has to improve before he deserves 20 mil....let them compete and fight it out on the field
I really think Wentz is going to be a big time QB in the NFL and we could have him the first 5 years on the rookie contract giving us a lot more cap space as well as imho, a much better QB. Developing players, mostly through the draft, and then filling out a few spots through FA, is how teams get to and win the Super Bowl. And with the Dolphins I am really excited about our new Coaching staff and feel that we have finally found our long term staff....not sure about Tannenbaum, I do not trust him 100%yet.

We have too many holes to even think about QB that soon, much less trading UP to get him.

    No. Never.

    You look back tesnor.
.i guarantee you it was not me
I am a huge Vanes fan as well as Lamar Miller fan...I was always lobbying for him to get at leadt 20 touches per game. Imho,it was a huge mistake to mot gove Lamar his second contract with us
He worked very hard on improving his game every off season and he hot better every year. We just had a dorry head coach and oc for all 4 years they were jere and stunted the growth of many players with their chuckleheaded ways.

If there was ever a time to let J Train try to carry the load it's this year. If only because there seems to be superior prospects coming out next year.

The way it's looking, we're better off trying to drop to the late first and grabbing bpa. I'm starting to think a savvy safety like Karl Joseph would help the secondary more than any of these cb's.

Conky or Lawson is probably gonna be our best choice at 13. Sean Davis in the second over Eli Apple in the first.

Gase says he is surprised how Ajayi looks in practice. Ajayi has lost (or is in the process of losing) 10 more lbs. Don't be surprised if he's the starter this year, folks, like it or not.

Well, if he ends up being the starter and we don't draft someone else, I'll obviously hope he does great, but my expectations are very low.

I'm not sure you can reasonably rely on Jay Ajayi to be a significant contributor. High level of uncertainty IMO.

That said, I'm not very concerned with the RB position overall. There are a few quality backs that should be available.
