It's the best player to wear a certain number, they both wore #13.

This is a tired concept though, SI or ESPN did it a year or two ago already.

Horrible comparison. It's very difficult to compare stats from sport to sport, as there's no real frame of reference to go by.

I will say one thing about Wilt Chamberlain, though; he was fortunate enough to play at a time when NBA athletes were much smaller than today's players.

I maintain that Wilt Chamberlain is the GREATEST professional athlete of all time. The man could do anything and pretty much did.

Don't get me wrong, Danny Boy is the best QB in my eyes, but Wilt far outshines everybody else. The guy was just great.

"No. 7--Contender: John Elway. The winner: Mickey Mantle, New York Yankees. Elway certainly has a lot of merit, but George Costanza wanted to name his child Seven, in honor of Mantle not Elway. Mantle is an icon of the '50s and '60s. His aura is still so great that trading card giant Topps doesn't print card No. 7 in its baseball sets as a tribute to the Mick."

Heh at least Elway lost out as well :D
