You have to be a special kind of idiot to not know you're playing badly. And if your coaches and team mates don't wake you up, a booing fan is not going to do it. And not cheering also voices displeasure. I don't agree with the concept that booing anything other than poor effort or poor sportsmanship does the team any good.
