Will we need a new Defensive Coordinator?

No word if the request has been granted, but it would be interesting to have to replace both coordinators. The article notes that it is a lateral move and we could deny the request, but speculates we may not as Flores and Judge may have a working relationship.
Personally, I'd as soon tell Judge to take a hike.
Vertical Limitforum_veteranYea that request will be denied. Though Graham probably wants to go to NY, Judge wouldnt have made that request had he not had preliminary talks with Graham about joining him.

I think it's important for GM to have some sort of working relationship, not Head Coaches however.
The NFL isnt a "You scratch my back I'll scratch yours" league. It's a "Here let me scratch your back while I stab you from behind and take advantage of your trust" league.
Even at the GM position I'd imagine most good working relationships involve a good but of trying to get over on each other in subtle ways.
If I thought our defense was even okay last year I'd question this.
Considering they were hot garbage I dont really care. Just another weird move we have made.

Weird is probably a good descriptor. Maybe Flores thought Graham was just OK - if he was a big believer then we should have kept him.

That's kind if how I felt.
I'm a big believer that on defense you can create pressure using scheme and deception as much as individual talent if you're a coordinator truly worth holding on to.
I'm not saying make trash into treasure btw, just that you should be able to generate some pass rush.
We did that fairly well against NE actually in the final game but that's just one out of 16.
