I really feel that Beck needs further evaluation this season. With the Dolphins having the first round pick in 08', we really need to get a sense of where our picks from this year stand. In this final game with the bengals, i would love to see Beck start this game, and we need to see more of Lbooker. Forget about lemon, he is not a guarantee to return. If Beck is our quarterback of the future, we need to put him out there in this final game. If he fails miserably, then maybe we need to pick up a QB early in the 2nd round(Colt brennan?), or even the first round(Matt Ryan?). There is talk that Brian Brohm will be a late 1st round pick, so Brennan should be available right in the 2nd would you not agree?

If this were Vince Youngs Draft class, or Carson Palmers draft Class...you'd be right. We'd need to know that Beck is our guy before passing on those guys.

But this isn't their draft Class. This is Matt Ryan's draft class. You don't want to be the team that drafts a QB first overall just because you think the first overal pick should be a QB. Just look at the niners and Alex Smith. In hindsight that team really should have drafted Ronnie/Braylon/ or Caddy. But they drafted a QB cause it seemed right to them, even though every agreed that QB draft class was weak.

I've heard and seen good things from the QBs in this draft, but nothing i didn't really seem from Beck at BYU.

Look at the Hennes and Flacoos of the draft. There are plenty of great quarterbacks that should still be around in the 3rd or 4th round. No need to go Ryan with the 1st.

I also think we should have Beck play in the last game. I know to some it might be a meaningless game, but it would be nice to end the year with a win. I don't think you can fully judge Beck based on what he has done this year. Hopefully Parcells will see if there are ways to upgrade our talent at QB and other positions.

I think you and I are alone on that. Last year with the good WRs he had excellent YPPA, 8.6, then it naturally dropped this year when they were gone.

Young player (22 next June) with stature and an undeniable whip arm. I like guys who were rated high and played early, even if they didn't completely live up to the hype. He's got enough big efforts on his resume, like leading the big comeback at Georgia, to make me take notice and overlook some of the so-called flaws that everyone else is fixated on. Good value IMO, certainly better than investing on Ryan or Brohm very high.

A lot of us want Beck to play but I think Cam will star Lemon again....I think Cam made a big mistake when he took Beck out after 2 passes in that game...the o-line was playing horrible and didn't give him time to do anything...we need to play Beck.

    Ozzy rules!!

Theres no reason not to start Beck this week. Cincys defense isn't a world beater and obviously theres nothing whatsoever to play for at this point other than pride and evaluation.

Beck will not play, and even if he did, we'd all still be disappointed. He just doesn't have it. I hear patience being preached and the battle cry of "he's only a rookie." However, rookies can look competent like Edwards, Smith and Moore. They all look leaps and bounds better than Beck with similar surrounding talent. Why are they doing so much better??? Why doesn't the rookie stigma hold them back as badly as Beck? I think some of you got wrapped up in the Jaworski hype or might have latched onto a blogger from here. However, if you open your eyes and re-watch the games Beck played, you'll see it too. He's Rex Grossman or Kyle Boller and nothing more.

And yes, beck will start, nothing to gain by starting Cleo.

And that's a fact. Hurts, but seem quite obvious, although praying he'll prove all the naysayers wrong.

    I agree, we need to start Beck . . . . I tihink that is a no brainer . . . we got our win . . . that was the only reason why Cleo would start . . . . lets see the rook . . . . shaky defense, playing at home . . . . I wanna see something . . . and I think Bill does also.
