I'll never understand the undeserved hate toward Tebow. That man just gathered more playoff wins than this franchise has in a decade. If you think he's a one trick pony with his running ability, then I don't think you saw his full career at Florida. He just needs more time and a full offseason of training with his receivers. Bottom line is I've never seen this kind of blind hatred for such a promising player in my entire life...
Poor passing mechanics. Inaccurate passer overall. Great runner though. In conclusion, he's a decent option if you want to run the ball 45 times per game.
That's BS and cliche...Tebow was dusted off 5 games into a strike shortened season, right after they dealt their best receiver at the time.
So here's what happens... The new owner said he would have drafted Tebow #1. So, he trades to Denver his #2 pick for Tebow. To pick up another #2 pick, he makes a trade. To the Miami Dolphins - Chad Henne!... Karma is a *****!
watch tape his mechanics are horrible and he makes bad throws. I do give him credit he did improve as time went by.
Exactly why is it considered hate because many of us don't want Tebow as a QB on the Dolphins. It has nothing to do with Tebow as a person. It has everything to do with the fact that Tebow just isn't a quality NFL QB. His passing ability is poor and while he may have had some success in a offense based on his abilities as a runner, he is not suited at all to run a WCO. If he isn't good enough for a team he was the QB of last season when they went to the playoffs, Why should Dolphin fans be expected to embrace the thought of him coming to Miami to be the teams next QB. If he was to come to Miami to be an H-back or a fullback, I would have no problem. I just have no interest in him as a future QB for the Dolphins. It isn't about hate, it's about the fact that Tebow isn't very good as an NFL QB. It is as simple as that.
Just a bunch of jaded opinions...He made amazingly clutch throws all through the season and in the playoffs.
It's more than just his playing ability or lack thereof. His way of being outspoken religiously rubs some people the wrong way, the hype and ridiculousness (best selling jersey as a third string QB, really?) that surrounds him and has cultivated a fanbase is also annoying at times, and for some a mix of the two. Matt Moore looked pretty atrocious the year before we brought him in, but I didn't see a single person say they would "quit being a fan" if we brought him in. We talked to Delhomme and Jamarcus last season, didn't see those comments. Heck, we had Rosenfels and Losman on the team. For me I don't personally want him, but if he were signed I'd support him the same I did Henne and hope for the best.
I love Tebow as a person but as the Starting QB for my franchise not so much. Bad mechanics, bad decision making and bad accuracy
being a gator fan i will always be a fan of tebow, i still think he has the potential to be a good qb in the league but i think he is going to need 3 or 4 more years to develop and i dont see a new head coach in his first head coaching job wanting to anchor himself to tebow, and i dont think us dolphin fans would want to either iam not a huge fan of bringing him to miami.
He took a crappy 1-4 team that just traded one of it's best receivers and got a playoff win...In a strike-shortened season where he couldn't develop any chemistry with his receivers. Once his tough-guy white receiver went down he was basically winning games with Deymarius Thomas and Fells (a nobody TE). He reminds me of a more physically talented Jim Kelly.
Tim Tebow is a TERRIBLE quarterback. He averaged barely above 200 yards combined rushing and passing in his starts last year and 2 TD's a game rushing and passing. Also for all the talk about how Tebow got them to the playoffs I love how no-one talks about how he nearly played them OUT of the playoffs losing his last three starts two of which against KC and Buffalo. Incuding the playoffs Tebow lost 4 of his last 5 games. In other words the gimmick wore off.
No, its not at all. The guy had a 45% completion rating. That ranked 39th in the NFL, out of 39 QBs. Tebow's circumstances may not have been ideal, but they were no different than what Matt Moore had to deal with.
Not fair, that game was like watching a balloon deflate in mid-air... ervybody knew they were spent after the Pitt game.
Stringer, wasn't it obvious he had zero timing with his receivers...I mean, anything he tried to throw before the receiver broke was fecked. I'm just saying that the jury is still out on his passing ability. I just don't want to see him buried before we find out. Also, by that logic you would think Henne would be coveted more, right?
The only guy to trump what he's done at his age is Michael Vick. He is a vortex of quarterbacking and I love it...
Perhaps when no other team in the NFL trades for Tebow after Manning signs, you will clearly see how teams around the NFL feel about him as an NFL QB.
Every QB in the NFL starts out like sheit! (except Dan) He is so obviously talented and willful and smart that it confounds me why anyone would want to crucify this guy or forsake him () The fact that a huge majority of Dolphin fans are poo-pooing him should be enough evidence that he's gonna be a great one if feckin' anyone would just believe in him! ( again..)
I am a huge Tebow fan. Loved watching him play at Florida and in Denver. And even I can see that he probably doesn't have what it take to be a starting QB at the NFL level.
Hell, I'm on board...seriously what do we have to lose? We only have Matt "fumble" Moore on the roster as a potential starter. Tebow's TD to T.O. ratio is better than Moore's...18/12 (Tebow) vs. 18/15 (Moore). Tebow had an 8-5 record as a starter including two playoff games vs. Moore's 6-6 record. What's there to lose? Not much...
Perhaps your right, but the fact is that the vast majority of Dolphin fans have no interest in seeing Tebow with the Dolphins. Hopefully for him, he can find that one team and FO which will believe in him and give him the chance you think he deserves. I just happen to doubt it will happen. I don't see him ever being anything but a possible backup on another NFL for the rest of his career.
Ive watched him in the NFL. Its a different game. Hes going to get nailed sooner or later with his limited skills. His passing is below average for a QB in the NFL. He looks like a one trick pony. I seriously dont rate him. Neither do the Broncos. Just saying. Im seriously sick of getting castoffs and 2nd round QBs. If our Head Office ppl want to get players in for what is in all intensive purposes PR which itself shows us to be a joke then i suggest we stay away from interviewing players we have no serious intention of signing unless on the cheap which isnt going to happen. Its flat out embarassing to anyone who loves and supports our team. But Ireland and Ross wont understand that....its business....well business sucks and so does our reputation.
Dude elway is a hall fame qb and knows the postion. He wanted tebow out of there before manning was even in the equation. Why do you think that is?
Man, you need to stop using useless statistics. I'd take Matt Moore, with an improved offensive line over Teblow anyday of the week and especially on Sundays.
