Why isn't anyone really talking about boosting our O-Line. Regardless of how many times this year I head that our O-Line was the most improved position on our team I still say it is the weakest line in the NFL. We have a QB that many people hope gets another chance, but he is going to be shell shocked and ruined if we don't improve the line. Yes our defense was bad but our offense contributed to it by going 3 and out more than 2/3s of the time. If you ask yourself who was the last great 1st rounder for the Dolphins I say go back to Richmond Webb or Kieth Simms. We need another Richmond Webb on this team and at 6'7, 313 lbs, and a 2 time all American I say Jake Long can be our new Richmond Webb. The best part is hes an Olineman so he won't cost as much as a typical #1 overall and if we are lucky he can be a cornerstone for years and years. People ask is an Olineman worth #1 overall. Normally I would say no, but if we can't trade and we dont take mcfadden I say Improving our offense will improve our defense. (if u let them rest, and you score points for them they will play better) Ask yourself, what good is drafting Dorsey if hes on the field 45 minutes per game. What good is he when hes tired because our Offense cant go longer than 3 plays. The entire team needs work, and a better offense will improve our defense.
Becuase we dont need another Right tackle...especially with the 1st overall. Jake Long is way too slow to project to a Left tackle in the Pros, heck he never shouldve been playing there in College. He will be a VERY good RIght Tackle I think, especially for a run-oriented team, but with the 1st overall, and an RT already converted LT we wont pick Jake Long...
At #32, maybe. At #58, sure. At #65, take him without question. At #1? Jim Mora wants to know if you're kidding him.
