matt roth is a non stop motor guy, why he's invisible this year is a mistery for me, bad coaching ? playing injured ? Opinions ?
Roth is one of these players that looks great in pre-season but dissapears when it matters.... Let's hope he takes this off-season to build more strenght and improve his conditioniong as odds are he will be asked to be our top DE next season if the rumors of JT leaving are true.
Same cold be said for just about everyone on the Dolphins...except those who don't even look good in preseason.
Yeah but Roth is a second rounder who many said could be a dominating DE.... this isnt a Cameron Worrel were expectations is this guy would be lucky to make the team and if he does will only play if 5 DB's get hurt. Roth and Crowder are so overhyped and underacheivers.
One thing that hinders Roth more than anything is his short arms. He's like a T-Rex Dinosaur. His arms look like they are 12 inches long. Offensive Tackles with long arms get into his body and he can't disengage because of his stubby arms.
Roth has shown he can play. At what level and how consistent i dont know. Right now he isnt contributing and i want ppl who can step up and immediately.
He has been IMO the biggest dissappointment. I had no idea that the drop off from Kevin Carter would be so huge. I wouldn't be suprised if they tell him to drop weight next year and try to turn him into a Mike Vrabel OLB/DE.
