was a bit bored and had a quick look down our roster trying to see if we can save some dosh

for me richie incognito must be the favourite to get cut
his been poor this year and he dosent suit the scheme whats so ever
    add to that the $4.3m

up until mid season i would have said dan carpenter was a must to get cut $2.6m for a kicker hmmmm
not sure his worth that dosh ,his recovered in the second part of season after being poor early doors

kevin burnett i had him down as well at the start of season , his due around |$4m but for me his been our best all round linebacker
    and just about justify that
karlos dansby hmmmmmmmmmmmmm no way does he make enough plays to justify a $6.5m contract next year ,hopefully restructure??

richard marshall $4.5m for a slot #3 corner = no way , starting free safety =maybe, can see restructure or cut
    material
dimitiri patterson again $4.5m for slot #3 corner , hmm see how it goes i suppose in the next 2 games
imo no way you pay marshall and patterson that money 1 has to go or get restructured!

although we are in a good spot salary cap wise it always on the agenda of gm`s where to save money!!

    anyone i have missed??

I think overall, the Dolphins are extremely healthy in terms of inefficient contracts. Take a look at this:

    http://www.spotrac.com/nfl/miami-dolphins/yearly/

I agree that Richie Incognito is the biggest glaring issue. He's not as awful as he was early in the season, but he's still I think inconsistent and not a great fit scheme wise at this point.

Karlos Dansby I think has to be addressed at some point, but I think it is more likely that he is asked to restructure than to be cut. He's overpaid, but not grossly so in the context of free agency, and I think would require a significant investment and be somewhat difficult to replace.

I don't think Burnett is at all likely. Burnett is playing in-line with his contract and I don't think you could really justify asking him to take a cut.

None of the free agents besides Jake Long are on there, and I think that's because Long technically has a voided last year rather than an expired

Incognito is not going anyplace. I sit here actually wondering what scheme people keep talking about. We do not run a zone blocking scheme unless is a misdirection play. Incognito has opened holes for Bush all year long and he has not taken them. He has moved up to 31st in all offensive guards. The biggest gains we have had is when Incognito pulls thru the right side. There are many marginal players on this team and he is not one of them. If you want to replace a guard you replace John Jerry not Incognito. As I have said many times before, I am glad no fan of an internet message board runs a football team, it would be chaos.

If you really know how PFF runs its ratings look at his. Take out his 6 penalties and add it to his score ? He would be one of the top 10 rated guards in the league. Again, like I said, this is NOT a zone blocking team with exception of a few play calls we have. i don't care what you read of who said it. watch the game, its not zone blocking, its no different then what its been so please stop with all this scheme bull.

longs contract expired, plain and simple. It was signed in 2008 and was a 5 year deal with 30 million guaranteed. Nothing was technically voided, its runs thru March 2013 and then its done.

has anyone got a profootballfocus account and would be willing to look up the best ranked tackles and guards who will become free agents next year

even if incognito ranked 10th 20th 30th or where ever!!
for me he is not the athletic left guard we want on this team hense i feel we will be looking for a guard and tackle maybe in fa

You're badly confused about what zone blocking looks like, and math in general- If you take Richie Incognito's penalties out, he's still not highly rated- He'd be 28th.

Nor is it confusing or controversial that the last year of Long's rookie contract was void-
