Considering mix of characters, personalities, talents, as well as their success...

Since I have only been a die-hard fan since 1999 (Marino's last year), I would have to rank this team number 1. And I don't think I am over-reacting here.

    My top 3 would be:
    2008
    2002
    2000

I just love the guys we have on this team. Some good character guys who have developed a great chemistry and have risen to the occasion to become something better than the sum of their parts. There are a ton of feel-good stories as a new guy comes to the forefront every week to push us to a win. Plus, they are fun to watch! I am always anxiously awaited the next crazy play they will come up with on offense.

2002 was my second favorite because I really loved the way Ricky ran that year. He was an absolute beast. Additionally, our defense was stout and filled with some great players... and Zach and Jason in their primes.

There is no team I hate more than the 2002 Dolphins. I like the 2007 Dolphins more. The 2002 Dolphins are the Dolphins that almost ruined the entire 2003 season. I almost lost all desire to watch football after that season.

My favorite games were with Sam Madison and Patrick Surtain shutting down both halves of the field. Jason Taylor applying the pass rush and Zach Thomas being a magnet to the football.

    THOSE were the days.

Oh not to mention Brock Marion. Boy was he good too. Cant rank by year really.

So far, I like it better than the early 90s teams, not as much as the 2000 team, the 84 team, 82 team, or the 71-73 teams. I'd like to see them replace all of 'em but we won't know that until after the season.

I really thought that 2000 team was the best team with the most heart of any team we'd had since the early 80s.

Dont get me wrong, the 2002 SEASON pissed me off, but I still really enjoyed watching that TEAM.. I blame a lot of that collapse, espeically the final game at NE, on Wanny and his play-calling...

Man I wish I was able to see those early days of dominance. I'll get around to those videos on MD.com Marty! ;)

My favorite has probably been this year. I've only been a fan since 2001 and Ricky Williams is my favorite player ever, despite the things he's done. Probably this year and Ricky's 1853 in 2002 as well as Saban's 2005 year when we went 9-7. Yes the win streak did it for me. :D

Amen brother. We had the leading rusher in the league, the leading sacker in the league, the leading tackler in the league and a top 3 defense, yet we didn't make the playoffs...

    My favorite teams were:

    the 1971-73 teams

    the 1984-85 teams

    the 1994 team

    the 2000 team

    In that order.

The season is not over yet but if we make the playoffs this year capping off one of the greatest team turnarounds in the history of the NFL then the 2008 season will definitely be in my Top 5.

Personally the 1984 season is "it" for me. Marino shattered the record books, we went to the Super Bowl, and a red-headed 15-year-old from Hollywood, FL became a fan for life.

The 1985 season was also great. That Bears game was incredible. I'll never forget it. Ever.

I rate them all high from 1971 up to 2008.
How's that for "True Love". (or homerism):tongue2:
