I'll make you a deal. If you talk some of these Dolfans on the ledge now, I'll talk you off it later too soon?
grove and smiley were injury prone. they werent brought in to be long term answers but rather short term solutions for a 1-15 team needing an overhaul. incognito is playing well and john jerry has a solid future if you ask me. berger admittedly isnt a strong run blocker but i think he's a good pass blocker
You know what? It's all good. I'd expect you to be happy when the Jets lose. Here is my little secret: I *rarely* break balls when my team wins or is doing good. Why? Because I hate it when it gets done to me. And unless my teams wins a championship every year (and even as a Yankees fan that doesn't happen), the door will always be left open for someone to bust my stones. So I am respectful to other teams fans with the hopes that I get the same in return. Pretty simple. Doesn't always work though
Exactly how I feel. You're good people man, if you weren't a Jets fan maybe I could call you fr...friend... Now if you'll excuse me I have to go back to hating you for the next 4 months (and longer if you guys actually get to the SB and win...)
yankees never lose, they just let other teams win once in a while. and i hope this doesnt apply to mets fans. because really, whats the risk? every 25 years they might play in a world series? the odds are in your favor
by game-eleven they should emerge as a force to reckoned within the NFL patience, everything takes time. it's only been three years & counting & we have deep-sixed Jason Taylor, Joey Porter & the entire interior offensive line & there is that Special Teams adjustment that still needs to be tweaked well, maybe by game-twelve we'll all be on the same page & playing competitively
I still think our offense lacks explosion, which plays a big part. Marshall is a playmaker, but hes not a speed guy. Bess is great underneath but isn't going to be breaking long stuff, Hartline has shown himself to be solid, but again he just doesn't seem to have the long speed to break a touchdown. Both running backs are getting old and slow, and neither of our backups is fast either. Bottom line, we need a speed infusion. We did it on D with guys like Wake, Misi, Dansby, Clemons and Davis, and they are playing well overall. Time to start adding some to the offense. When is the last time we broke a pass like Edwards had against us? When is the last time you saw a Miami player streaking 60, 70, 80+ yards downfield. I can't - maybe it has happened, but I don't remember. No, we seem to break something like Ronnie again the Vikes, only to get caught and tackled, then stall the drive. Big plays are momentum grabbers, daggers shove into the other teams heart. We just never seem to get that from our offense or special teams. If Pat Cobbs returns another kick this season, I will seriously hope for a sniper to take out his knee. Offseason we need to look for more speed at WR, TE and RB.
