Not in this thread, no. I don't think that pointing out a legitimate pre-draft concern is bashing him. We shouldn't be afraid to raise real concerns about a player just because he's on our team, that doesn't make someone less of a fan or mean that they're bashing the player. Constructive criticism is what stimulates good conversation.
I agree. By "bashing" I mean that people who were against drafting white in first place, making a big deal out of the fact that he has thrown couple of floaters. Is Chad Pennington? No, by any stretch of imagination, but saying that (again, maybe not in this thread) he will never be a legit QB is. (bashing that is)
Again, people pointing out that we had more pressing needs than a player who was drafted to play a specialty position isn't bashing, it's pointing out that we used a pick on a player who really has no true position on the team if the wildcat isn't as effective as it was last year.
There are alot of folks who get paid big money to scout for a living who think that White has no business taking snaps behind center, that's not a good sign that instills confidence that the pick was the best choice.
Good thing we won't know till about couple of years from now. In the end of the day we will walk away with our opinions thinking that I am right, and he is wrong.
He might be struggling with accuracy, but I bet he's still more accurate a passer than Ronnie Brown. Which means we're still ahead of the curve in terms of Pat White adding a new dimension to the Wild Cat.
"wild thing, you make my heart sing, you walk eveeeeeeeeeerything" if he is throwing it away and hitting bps golf cart, then I like him a hell of alot more now...........
