nice..i hear richard is going to have some competition when kiss releases their new album entitled "sweating to the oldies".
I am a huge KISS fan. Still amazing in my book - unlike (sorry everyone who disagrees) The Stones, Rod Stewart and countless others who are way past their prime and refuse to hang it up.
I love their early stuff. Its essentially what got me into rock and metal. And there isn't much better than them (the original lineup) live. But even I find Gene's greed to be too much.
I love them too, but if this new album isn't any good then I have to put them into the "time to hang it up" catagory. They've been touring on greatest hits for awhile now, they need new material. From what I've been reading it's supposed to be a return to the OLD albums. They recorded in analog, and the basic tracks were done live, no overdubbing. Should be interesting. They only had one "Farewell Tour". The fans wouldn't let them retire. Unlike the Who, they don't keep calling every tour a "reunion". They just keep touring.
I want! Put it next to my Gene Simmons bong, which is highlighted by my Gene Simmons tiffany lamp, which is on top of my Gene Simmons coffin.
I saw the 'Farewell' tour, right before Ace left the band (again). Great show. I've got all their stuff up to 'Animalize', but I can't say that I'm a big fan of Gene's Family Jewels show.
I last saw them on their farewell tour and vowed I'd never see them with someone else in Ace and Peter's make-up. I think they should take the make up off, bring Bruce Kulick back and tour doing their 80's songs.....That's an idea whose time has come!
