What were the Dolphins thinking when they drafted this guy?

The thing that I remember hearing (after the fact) is that the Redskins were ready to take Dan with the very next pick. If true, I wonder if that had any bearing on Miami taking him at #27? Of course, I'm sure Washington is happy with the way things worked out, as they drafted a future HOF'er themselves in Darrell Green.

And, I know this doesn't mean as much to most of you as it does to me, having grown up in Redskin territory, but I would've been majorly PO'ed if it had actually gone down that way. That said, at least I could've seen all his games. Heck, I might've even switched alliances back to the daggone Deadskins.
