A lot of pats fans credit Gronk as his favorite target and Gronk does provide Brady a huge target over the middle with his size. Gronk is also hard to bring down one on one. Glad he's out for the game. Amendola doesn't have the same impact and tends to be fragile.
Vereen wasn't active for those games either in addition to Amendola missing a lot of them. Plus, Edelman is playing better than he was and so is Thompkins. Additionally, Josh Boyce has emerged as a reliable target. He was pretty explosive last week.
