Your good man. I thought you already told her the whole situation. Just talk to her about college or your class grade or whatever so she thinks thats what you wanted to talk about. Dont say **** about the assignment unless she says something. If she does, then play dumb like you had no idea your friend got your assignment and tell her he must of taken it out of your folder whatever. Basically just say you had no idea if it does come up. Nobody can put the blame on you or prove you knew so your all good.

If it was me I would say my friend stole it from me and that I don't want to tell on him but I'm afraid I might get in trouble so the guilt finally got to me and I had to tell. That way you look like the good guy and the victim. Also I hope your friend doesn't direct your teacher to this forum and she reads this thread then things could get interesting.

Take my advice man. Worst case scenario is she tells you to take more care of your assignments. Even tell your friend that he messed up and if she asks, that your going to tell her he must of took (or found it) and you had no idea. If you play dumb then your really in the clear from any wrong doing.

If its a regular HW assignment you have nothing to worry about. If it was a Project or Test then you might get into trouble but this is nothing man.

But slick if he plays dumb and she knows what's going on and he's trying to hide it she will know alen's guilty of something. So I say blame the a-hole that got you in this mess in the first place. Plus if he's a problem student even better.
How would she find out? Does your friend have the conversation tape recorded or on camera? Your fine man, dont overreact (again).
Teachers, parents, employers, the cops, girlfriends, etc, never believe a person when they plead the fifth, better to tell the truth alen and just get it over with.
He wouldn't be digging it any deeper but would be deferring the problem onto someone else. However if Alen has the cajones to tell the truth do it but me I'm a revenge type of person so I would get him in trouble since he deliberately screwed me in the first place.
That's what I'm afraid of. I don't know how good I am at BSing things other than tests I didn't study for. I'm afraid if she doesn't buy it then I'm in a even bigger hole because I'd be lying. This is a way smaller situation then any of that. She's a hs teacher grading small hw assignments, not a judge in an OJ case.
I do agree with Lucky because if you get to college and do this you are screwed. So yeah I would definitely learn my lesson now.
So she knows you did your hw and graded it already. Who's to say you didn't take that assignment and... A. Throw it away B. Leave it out somewhere C. Drop it etc. And your buddy found it and tried to use it. Nobody can prove that you gave it to him. She might think it, but she cant prove it at all. I doubt she would bother getting into a huge conspiracy theory over a small hw assignment anyways.

Just talk to her about the class or college and then leave it alone. You def could screw yourself more by being honest about it so dont assume honesty is the best policy in situations like this.
By telling the truth, the other kid gets in trouble too. Alen is already nervous as hell and stressing out all over the place, the last thing he needs is to lie and end up tripping over his own story. Don't BS brother, you're an honest kid and you'll do the right thing. Sarcasm my brother, sarcasm.
That's true but whether I am honest and get punishment or I lie and fail at it, I get the same punishment. In the end, its all the same **** I am getting myself into. Plus, if I'm nervous when trying to lie, I'll choke (not literally).
Hell man, if you really are curious about college or your class then is it really a lie to ask? Remember, "it's not really a lie if you believe it." I just wanted to quote Seinfeld on the last part too though.
talk to this **** head who screwed you over, and demand you both go tot he teacher and that he is to explain himself. and tell him, otherwise your going to really throw him under the bus, say he stole it, say he threatened you, etc... tell him the teacher is not stupid, and knows ur work, and she's gonna find out anyway. you did him a favor, and he screwed you. now he;s taking the bullet for you both, otherwise, your gonna get him expelled with the list of **** you'll tell the teacher he did to you. the evidence, obviously will support you. and then you both go talk to her in person, and right the situation, volunteer an extra project to right the situation. beg to keep it off record. if this kid doesn't playball. sell him down the river man. he's a turd. an *** whippin woulda been imminent in my school for an antic like this. not to prove toughness, but to inflict pain.

Hey Brother Alen.... Bro, if you go to her, and explain that it was just so he could study it, not copy it, and tell her he stole it, and DO IT IN PERSON, and then ask her specifically not to report it, and promise to never do this again, I think a resonable person will give you a chance. But I agree with others here. Next time, you have to gain the "cajones" to just say NO, not because you are trying to be mean, but you have to look out for # 1, first and formost.
