Couldnt agree more. Being able to run more consistently is the key for the offense this year and it was the Achilles heel last year. When inside zone is clicking the O becomes very difficult to stop and with the new receivers a lot of those short to intermediate passes should turn into bigger gains. But really.....

No need for me to post when you're around, I'll just quote your posts and move on.

Rafael, would you have taken Gordon > Parker?

Yep. That's who he wanted at our pick.

Yep. I haven't wanted a back in the first round for a very long time due to the position value and the talent available, but I thought he was that special.

I personally preferred Gurley over Gordon, but I think the latter will be a very good back as well. I think that over time, though, we'll see that the pick of Parker was the right one. Gurley and Gordon might have more of an impact right away but WRs generally have longer careers and, if Parker turns out to be a good one, he'll be productive for us for a long time.

I would have been very happy if we drafted Melvin Gordon at #14 as well. My son and I were VERY disappointed when the Rams selected Todd Gurley at #10 (I don't think that's a big secret, LOL). Gordon would have been a nice consolation prize. But, the more I see of DeVante Parker in training camp, the more happy I am with that pick.

EDIT: When the Falcons passed on Gurley at #8 I thought we were going to get him. #sadpanda LOL

I have been encouraged by the early reports on Parker. I always expected him to start well though. I was more concerned with his upside.

Coincidentally, early practice reports about Kevin White, Funchess and Lockett have also been similarly positive.
