What mistakes did the 49ers make on Crabtree?

NFL players make outrageous sums of money Alen, that is a part of the game.

Now what bothers me is not the money, after all it is not my money, it is I have the sense that Crabtree doesn't want to play football, he reminds me a bit of Daunte Culpepper in that sense, oh he'll play, but he is going to squeeze every last dime out of the situation.

Its real simple man. Players don't make requests for an X amount of money that is unrealistic, especially when the best thing they've done for the team is put on a damn team cap. Does Michael Crabtree honestly think he's going to get top three money? If so, he's an idiot. And if the 49ers pay them, they're equally as dumb.

This is where I agree with you. He's more than likely going to get a shot at a second contract in the future. How about he takes this large sum of money that is being offered now, work his *** off, realize his potential and then maybe when the market is inflated to god knows how much, he'll get that top three money he was wishing for when he got drafted.
