I say it will be Ohio State for sure(hopefully that just means another loss). And even though Kansas and Georgia are ranked high now, they didn't even win their conference. So I think that really leaves LSU and Oklahoma, both of whom I think are better than OSU. I know USC is ranked above Oklahoma going into this week, but I can't imagine anyone saying USC is a better team. I think it will end up being LSU-OSU in the title game. Too bad Hawaii has no chance at the NC even if they win tonight, lol.
It wasn't announced when I posted it, and I actually missed the other thread, which I was only behind by like an hour or so.
ESPN's had the story up on their site since around 8 PM last night. Anyway, the point wasn't to knock you, I was just saying, it's been announced. I think OSU will win by a touchdown, but LSU can pull it out.
Isn't there a law against cruelty to Buckeyes? LSU will pound them. To be the most interesting game will be the Haw-Ga game. Both teams have something to prove. I think Ga pounds them but we can see what magic Colt has.
Good article on FoxSports questioning what OSU has done to earn a spot in the NC game. http://msn.foxsports.com/cfb/story/7520962
Yea, the buckeyes don't deserve to be in the title game. After all, they lost 2 of their last 6 games including their last reg season game to an unranked opponent plus they beat up on an easy non-conference schedule that consisted of pushovers like Middle Tennessee, Tulane, and Lousiana Tech.
Makes sense to me, and mirrors what I was telling my friends the past couple of weeks. They're just the best team in the worst BCS conference. Before this year, I don't think any 1-A team had lost to a 1-AA team. Now this year TWO 1-A teams have that unfortunate honor, and both are Big-10 teams. OSU lost to the best team they played. All this said, the game will be much closer than last year's NC game. LSU doesn't operate a spread offense, which is OSU's kryptonite. It's a good match up for OSU. I still think OU should be playing LSU. Since the current system looks at a team's entire resume, those are the two "best" teams IMO. USC could definitely hang with both, but losing to Stanford kills any resume. I've heard a lot of people talk about Booty's injury being the reason for that loss, but everyone seems to conveniently forget that Stanford's starting QB was out for that entire game.
8pm on saturday? Yea, I don't think so. I posted this thread during the Hawaii game, so it wasn't announced when I posted this. I understand it has since been announced.
As long as Illinois has a coach that will consistently allow his team to play up or down to their opponent, they cannot be the best team in their conference if Tressell's around. The sweater vest is still one of the premier coaches in CFB. Illinois has the potential, but Zook just isn't a good enough coach. He will always lose to too many opponents that he shouldn't.
Absolutely. This year has been needing a playoff badly. One could argue that it wasn't absolutely necessary the last few years, but this year definitely. I just don't see how #8 can beat #19 and move up to....2nd??
God, I hate Wanny!!! ARRRGH!!! ...first he kills my Dolphins... ...then he destroys my WVU title shot... (...sigh...) May the fleas of a thousand caribou nest in his genitals.
