I started a group for my Chattanooga Dol-Fans club on Facebook. I was starting a thread about the view from our seats for the Falcons game. I had a photo posted on Photobucket, and I was editing it with each type of link to see if the actual photo would post. On the 4th edit, I get this message saying I was spamming. I wasn't. I loked all over FB to see if I could write them, and tell them what I was doing. No luck. All I found were 600+ posts of people *****ing about the same thing, and how Facebook doesnt care about it. They'll just delete your account. Any thoughts?
They do this because of games like mafia wars which have you adding people and changing things left and right. Ask opie and probably some of your friends too. I've heard of many people's accounts getting deleted due to increased activity and multiple changes. Here is a link.. http://www.facebook.com/help/search.php?hq=contact facebook
Pissing off people who use your service? That's great business sense. I guess they prefer their members to be 15 year old girls who type... "zOmGZ, Joe Jonas is so Hawt!!!!!! - GIK"
I was thinking of buying a paid ad to advertise it to FB users in the Chattanooga and surrounding areas. Maybe not now...They are so full of themselves to not even allow people to contest these warnings. EDIT: This is what I was trying to post on the FB thread
Facebook started out as this cooler-than-thou ("Thou" being MySpace) social networking place, then all of a sudden it's worse, more crass and commercial, and obnoxious with all the intrusive "apps" than MS ever was. Then in the hypocrisy to end all hypocrisies, when an app takes off like Mafia Wars, they get all prissy about it.
One of my FB friends tried to get me into Mafia Wars. I was a little curious, but I'm glad that curiosity didn't get the better of me.
facebook was fun originally. but i've completely lost interest and honestly the only reason i go back on ever is to look up pictures of attractive girls from college that I miss seeing around on a daily basis
Yup I got a 30 day disablement for being too social on a social website. Go figure. Figure that's like getting banned here for talking about the Fins.
The ironic thing is that I tried to find a way to contact them, but all I could find were a bunch of questions that had been posted by people. I clicked on one of them. Now, every day, I get about 20+ notifications saying that my question has been answered. Facebook is spamming me.
