That's really sad. I feel bad for the kid possibly having played his last down of football, at least for the foreseeable future, and not even knowing at the time.

    https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.c...ed-their-masks-while-attending-open-practice/

The Chiefs allowed several thousand fans to watch them practice this week, with the understanding that masks would be worn at all times except when they are actively eating. Apparently, the vast majority of them ignored this and took them off as soon as they were inside the building. Hopefully, this doesn't result in an outbreak in Kansas City, but it would be no surprise if it does.

That's the biggest problem here, I think. If the NFL says they can have fans as long as they do "this, this and that"...but the fans only do it thru the entryway then ignore the rules afterwards, states will make the stadiums shut down. We can't have a season with 32 teams fighting the state/federal government on whether they can play any given Sunday.

I've said it many times here before my friends, just get in the habit of wearing a mask. Once you wear it for a few days, it's no longer a big deal...you get used to it quickly. If you think they restrict your breathing too much, go to a Dollar General type store and buy their cheapest masks- they're like 5 for $5 and it's ultra thin/cheap t-shirt material just big enough to cover your nose/mouth and then hook on your ears. It offers absolutely zero protection but it is a mask by the loosest of terms...those are actually comfortable.

I do have a feeling this entire season will boil down to whether people will comply or not, because if numbers are spiking in a city then that team is not going to play regardless. I really think it's more on us than it is teams/players at this point.

    Phins Up from the UK.
Over here, our football season starts in September and there are no plans to allow any fans in. Games not shown on TV will be available on Stream for £10. Some European countries are looking to allow a set number of fans in but its a very fluid situation.
Just glad that the NFL will play the season. Go Phins.

Notre Dame vs Wake Forest has been postponed, and may be cancelled due to a Covid 19 outbreak among ND players. Notre Dame, who is ranked #7, does not play again until 10/10 vs FSU.
