I liked the 3rd Die hard, but it was originally never supposed to be a die hard movie and that may be why you don't like it.

I love Jackie Chan. It is just his movies are spot fests. The prequels were spot fests, just with worse acting than a Jackie Chan film

There you go, you even proved my point. The first two movies were crap.

I also enjoyed the 3rd prequel.

if the first two movies were not star wars, we would not be having this conversation because they would be easily forgettable movies like Johnny Pnemonic or Robo Jocks.

For me the original trilogy was magic. I was six or seven when Star Wars hit the theater, and my pops took me to see it. I was absorbed by the movie. The second and third ones were almost as entralling (Empire is my favorite, but I love when the bad guys win) as the original. I looked forward to the first three Episodes since I heard they were on their way and saw them all in the theater. I wasn't blown away (but I'm not six anymore) hell, I wasn't ever that impressed. So much of the story seemed like it was forced and the acting was sub par. I won't call them terrible or threaten Lucas with a shovel, but I don't get that same sense of awe I had with the originals.

Actually I never said the first two were crap, don't put words in my mouth. I actually like all of them just don't feel the first two were as good as originals, I think the 3rd belongs in the same group as the first trilogy, the first two prequels were just good movies to me nothing special.
