Having a great trip! Hiked South Mountain Park's Kiwanis trail Monday, yesterday I did Scottsdale Fashion Square with the wife and another guys gf, had breakfast at Matt's Bog Breakfast, amazing tacos and Margarita at The Mission, bought amazing wine (magnum of Jonata Todos) at AZ wines, then dinner in Middle Eastern Deli and Grocery store with the family. Today I am not leaving the resort. Pool, maybe tennis and a few biz emails but thats it. Today I chill. There's some debate about whether to still go to the Grand Canyon or just go as far as Sedona on Friday. Part of the debate is how long the drive really is from Phoenix to the South Rim visitor center. Google says 3 hrs 30min. A guy in the group who has been there multiple times says 6 hours. Figuring we'll leave for GC Fri AM, check into a hotel in Flagstaff at early lunch and eat there. Continue on to GC by early afternoon. Then stay in Flagstaff Fri nite and see Sedona on the way back to Phoenix Saturday. But with 12 people to organize I may as well be Alexander trying to get an army to India.
