My intitial feeling is to get excited if Miami gets Harbaugh. But I had already been thinking about this when ESPN came on Tv. Is it smart to pay an unproven guy millions, .....more money(according to ESPN), then even Bellichek? Someone who has never coached in the NFL. Lets see. The last time we did that, the guy promised he didnt want to go to Alabama. And then took the fastest flight out of town. I think we cant afford to make a mistake here. We have to play it safe and get a guy who has proven NFL credentials. Fisher has not really done anything since that one superbowl run. His team was just as bad as ours this year. And if the fins are even remotely thinking about Young, and I dont know if they are, even though he would be a upgrade to our current QBs, then Fisher is not coming! Cowher has enjoyed the most success. I think it was one superbowl ring .....maybe 2 ....but year after year he produced. If he wants control and /or his own guys...i trust him enough to give it to him. Gruden won the big one and created a solid defense in Tampa in the process. He is widely viewed by most TV people as a extremely intelligent guy with amazing Football I.Q. Then you could keep Sparano, who I sort of feel bad for, but he has no pieces to build anything with. Besides after seeing the Fins keep him on the roster while they are looking for his replacement.....I doubt the locker room will respect the guy anymore. Look I dont deny that the idea of getting Harbaugh is the attractive / sexy pick, but i can already see the guy with a dum-founded look on his face as Miami turns the ball over for the 5th time in week 4, with no clue what to do.
