Tonight I wanted a damn good margarita and none of that pre mixed crap in a bucket would do it for me. I wanted one of those margaritas that hit you during the first glass but still taste like a damn good margarita. I had this recipe for a while and decided to splurge on it today. Grand Marnier Triple sec Sweet & Sour mix Herradura Reposado tequila 4 parts sweet & sour 2 parts triple sec 2 parts tequila 1.5 parts Grand Marnier Pour into a shaker filled with 1.5 cups of ice and shake...pour into margarita glass that has been wetted with the juice of a lime and dipped into salt to just to dot the rim and walla...nothing can compare!
earlier tonight... i got into the vodka... followed by some red wine... merlot to be exact Now... im drinking water, so im not so crappy feeling tomorrow! haha
Funny how a mudslide has morphed into a drink. Back in the day, a mudslide was a layered shot with Kahlua on the bottom, Baileys Irish Cream in the middle and Vodka floating on top.
it was served in a martini glass with chocolate syrup poured around the sides, it was pretty, and it tasted good. i even got buzzy off of ONE.
Yeah, you and my wife both All I get off those "Mixed" ones with syrup is Diabetes (Sorry, I know Diabetes isnt funny folks)
i had bud light last night.....then coors at hooters and some of my wifes long island tea......i was hammered....my head hasnt forgiven me yet this morning
Yesterday was the K-State Spring game, so I started out with beer, moved on to Strongbow Cider, then I moved to Pyrat Rum & Cokes. If you haven't had this rum, it is fantastic. Really no need to add the Coke, it can be drank on the rocks.
thats a very popular one...lots of good feedback. i wasnt crazy about it though. i like dalwhinnie on the rocks. its a little bit lighter and more pleasant...IMO and the most common, yet, never let you down is the 15 yr glenlivet...again, imo.
yes sir. give it a **** next time the opportunity presents itself. i also spent 90 on a bottle of fancy Craggenmore, but was very disappointed. the bourbon flavor, for which it is casked in, came through too much and ruined it for me. but the Balvene was a solid scotch i tried a few months back. recommend it second to dalwhinnie...in the non ridiculous price range.
