Were the Apollo Moon Missions Faked?

I've never really heard a good explanation on why the flag appeared to be flapping in the breeze. I also don't understand why we've never been back in recent years if we were able to do it in the early 60's. Surely with today's technology there's more we could learn from the moon, right?

I'm not usually big on conspiracy theories, but I have to admit, I have some doubts as to whether or not the moon landing actually happened.

The momentum moved the flag around but the motion quickly dissipated. In vacuum conditions, manipulating the flag caused it to flap vigorously as if it were being blown by a breeze. This demonstrated that a flag could appear to wave in a vacuum, as the Apollo flag did.

Wait a minute, I grew up in the NM Desert.
Pretty sure there werent any Moon missions going on there....at least not that I saw.

They didn't deal with the case of the flag moving from a standstill when an astronaut trotted by it too far away from it to touch it.

I've been to Parkes Radio telescope in the backblocks of Australia.

It was at a time when one of these fake-umentaries had been shown on TV. They had one of the older scientists there talk about it.
His response was "we pointed this" *points at 1,000 ton radio dish*
"at that" *points to gibbous moon on the western horizon*
"and got the moonlanding transmission".

If anyone thinks they've got enough money to pay off cranky old semi-retired Australian astronomers, I'd like to see some of it.

Is this the same guy from the other site that tried to prove that we didn't go to the moon? Think it was like 2 yrs ago, thread got long as hell and nothing anyone said could convince him. This guy will end up trolling it.... Nothing u can say to people that believe that we didnt go to the moon. Like how we got all the moon rocks back that we have, or the laser reflector, they always ignore those facts that will prove them wrong in the end.

And the thing that I truely believe is if we faked it, don't u think the Russians who we were in a space race with been extremely eager to get that info out that we didn't really go to the moon?

At the 2 minute 35 second mark of the video the flag is still. When the astronaut goes past it, it starts to move.

What I hypothesize is that a fifty percent slow-motion was used in Apollo 11 to simulate lunar gravity. Later, they improved their methods of simulating lunar gravity and started using a combination of slow-motion and support wires. The slow-motion in the later missions might not have been exactly half-speed. It might have been sixty five or seventy percent of natural speed. It looked better but it was inconsistent with Apollo 11 footage. The inconsistency is apparent.

When the Apollo 11 footage is doubled, the movements look natural. This makes it very clear that they used a simple fifty percent slow-motion to simulate lunar gravity in Apollo 11 and a faster slow-motion (around 67 percent according to Jarrah White's calculations) combined with wire supports in the later missions.

If you look at the acceleration of the object that falls from the astronaut's backpack and the acceleration of the hammer and feather that fall, it's apparent that the there's a difference in the way gravity affects the objects.

This is real zero-gravity and they behave quite differently.
One possible explanation is that they were trying to fake zero-gravity in a diving plane and the plane wasn't diving fast enough at that point.

The shadow of the rod is proportionally longer than the shadow of the bag. Evidently, that's how they got those pictures of very dark shadows--they drew them.

He said that mankind cannot venture beyond Earth orbit, 250 miles into space, until they can find a way to overcome the dangers of cosmic radiation. He must have forgot that they supposedly sent 27 astronauts 250,000 miles outside Earth orbit 36 years earlier.

Well, the moon actually does have an atmosphere. It has gravity, and so, an escape velocity that heavier gases can't achieve. Whether it's enough to cause enough stir to move that flag, I don't know. But, that may be a moot point, as the flag starts to move before he even passes it, and hence, before his "wake" could even disturb it.

My guess is that the astronaut, running in those clumsy boots, kicked up some soil or pebbles into the pole, or the flag itself.

Although, it obviously isn't the typical 32ft/sec/sec we are acustomed to, there is obviously a force involved. Space is defined as "perfect vacuum" but that is not accurate. Just like graphing to zero, it all depends on your resolution, and obviously, the surface of the moon is much further from "Perfect Vacuum" than deep outer space void of mass.

Breaking - This just in - MICHEAL JACKSON TIME TRAVELS ABOARD APOLLO!

Take a look at what Bad Astronomy has uncovered, after all these years!

The evidence is overwhelming. Sure, he looks like he’s wearing an eyepatch, but given his wardrobe choices over the years, is an eyepatch all that unlikely? And look at this picture for comparison — my Photoshop skillz are unmatched (happily for millions of satisfied Adobe customers). The resemblance is too strong to be coincidence.

So what’s the deal? You might think that Buzz was a fan, so he had a picture of Jackson taped to the console — though Michael was only about 11 when our first mission to the Moon launched, so that’s silly. The gauge in the panel is visible in other images, and you can tell there’s a glass cover on it. That means the face is not taped on, but is in fact a reflection!

The conclusion is clear. What’s going on here, obviously, is that a time-traveling Michael Jackson stowed away aboard the Apollo 11 capsule to experience the mission for himself.

The truth is out there ...
