The Miami Dolphins have not stopped adding playmakers to a team that has sorely lacked just that for many years.

The Dolphins recently added Miles Austin who followed up his 1300 yards and 11 TD's (in 14 starts) with another 1,000 yard season with 7 Td's. Why the drop off? Well he had Jon Kitna as his QB for 75% of the season.

"We feel like we replaced Brandon with a guy who is a bit more rounded of a player with about 10X the work ethic" said GM FinO, the Dolphins told Miles to go ahead and bring in Pro Bowl CB Mike Jenkins aswell who many Dallas insiders feel passed Terrance Newman as the teams best CB 2 years ago.

The Dolphins also got better at the TE position by bringing in the young kid Martellus Bennett who has loads of potential, and the 6"6 Pro Bowl TE Marcedes Lewis who managed 10 recieving TD's in 2010.

Miami also moved up to #2 overall in this draft wich opens up a ton of options for the team, its been whispered that Miami has been weighing options between CB Patrick Peterson, QB Cam Newton, QB Blaine Gabbert, DE Da'quan Bowers , LB Von Miller, and DT Marcell Dareus. Despite recent talks the Dolphins have truely not made a decision yet as the Packers are expected to select WR AJ Green.

In this case its about the destination not the journey, and people in New England better recognize.....after the draft those WR will be neutralized and those LB's are coming, your vertical game wont even GET vertical.

    Its over.

He was the #1 CB even with Newman thier some felt, I do realize almost all fans overvalue their own skill position players...I experienced that with Davis and Smith...either way its not the greatest market for CB's and at this point he is just fine paired with Eric Wright (for now)

The scheme we run doesnt require great CB play, but you do have to catch the ball as a defender...

Either way Im not going to please everyone in the league, Im not sure how many Non Dolphins homers (yes Iam one also) wouldnt perfer Jenkins/Wright over Davis/Smith I wont even compare our situation at SS with Antrel Rolle.

I feel I have upgraded an already solid defense, but maybe not everyone sees it that way. Thats fine.

Lots of smokescreening here. Bowers? Miller? Bad fits on that roster. Peterson would be a nice add for a team that’s traded its two starting CBs.

I'd rather ahve Smith and Davis over Jenkins/Wright. And I'm not that high on Rolle personally.

    What scheme do you run?

Stop it, they dont put people with bad hands back to return punts, his lack of int's is a result of people not throwing his way...he is a better prospect than Joe Haden the top CB in last years draft who did pretty damn well.

I will do something very rare around here and tell the truth...

Im completely torn between him and one of the QB's. Just being honest, I really dont know yet.

If you want to package some great deal and move up lets go, im that "OK" with one of a few guys.

Not when their being pressed, because in my scheme the CB's play in tight...no cusion, your getting pressed, we gamble down here we gamble that if the ball isnt in the air within 3 seconds your sacked. Taking that into consideration with the press coverage you will be throwing alot of dangerous balls between the S and the CB, now you have a fine QB but we all see what pressure does to him.

Your draw CAN work IF Im bringing the A gap blitz (wich i may or may not) if Dan Koppen can handle Solia all by himself then god bless him.

I can see our teams having some real fun matchups.

As opposed to being the water boy in Scorch Life Stadium? Now, now.

But to also be serious for a moment, I have my draft board and plan to follow it. If you genuinely want to trade down, then PM me. But I think a good player will be available regardless of how the first five picks unfold.

That asks a lot from your corners. He pattern reads all the way through out of all coverages and plays 1/4-1/4-1/2.

Its going to be an attacking defense that presses alot and gambles alot, like I said were coming hard to the QB so we need corners who basically catch the football when a pass is underthrown. Im comfortable with the setup I have to accomplish this.

Mike Jenkins, Eric Wright and Philip Buchanon are not good corners? Ok. I know you pride yourself on not attracting to the "big names" but that doesnt mean a corner who is popular sucks.

I can tell you personally that the Browns made no effort to retain Wright because he’s gotten worse every year. Jenkins is acceptable though not spectacular. Buchanon is quality depth, maybe a slot corner, but not much more at this point.

You have a good supporting cast but need someone to tie it all together. Just my opinion.

Eric Wright was the next big thing before he struggled last year, I sure wouldnt say he has regressed every year....Not sure how this turned into me saying Mike Jenkins is a great corner, just feel like he was a solid addition to my team. As for Philip a nickel back is where he may be depending on the draft, maybe he becomes a Dime back?

Me thinks those corners leave a lot to be desired. Jenkins is the best of them and frankly I think he's pretty average. Your cb's are much worse now. Davis is better then Jenkins and smith is much better then wright. Buchanon is just fail.

Wow, I love how people come into a thread and bash other teams players....Me? Normally I dont say much despite my opinion but you people are opening it up for me to be pretty harsh.

The Miami Dolphins are a better football team, in a better position then they were when I took them over, but hey let the games begin....Im not one to back down from a good ole fashioned "hate fest".
