That's that. Grats Jake, you're now a Dolphin!

I might have my misgivings about the pick, but for today I'll be happy.

Ricky: Yes, let me hit my celebration stash. This sticky right here, this for Jake Long!

    :wharf:

    *phone rings*

    Ricky: *inhales slowly* Hello?

Agent: Ricky, this is your agent. Just reminding you of your drug test later this afternoon.

    Ricky:

Seeing Jake in Dolphins gear reminds me of when Luke Skywalker convinced his father to kill the emperor in Star Wars. Except in this case Ted Ginn is Luke, and Michigan is the emperor. Welcome to the good side of the force Jake!!!

Sparano, "Ok nuckleheads, here's the frickin the plan I just came up with. #1, you clear up some space over in this here area for #2. #9, you get open and run like a freakin madman. Beck, you get him the ball and **** like that."

Beck, "Why can't I be called by my draft position?"

Sparano, "Because you weren't a top 10 pick. Now pull up your underoos and do what I told ya, before I bring Josh in here. Is this guy for real?"

I would have been happy with several players at number one, but I am really glad the Dolphins made the Offensive Line a #1 priority and not just an after thought. I noticed some media types are already prdicting Miami will take a QB with the 32nd pick.

Apparently nothing because we never talked to Chris about contracts.

Now I Hope Groves is there at 32 if not Groves then Cliff Avril.

Im extremely pleased with this pick. Hes gonna be the key in our line. Now the only question is ... do we draft a G or a RT?

This is rather intriguing to me-Long/Carey/Satele/Smiley/?? Depends really I think who is available where I guess.

Nice job knowing your peers Ozzie.

Honestly I think we might reach for Zuttah or Greco with 2B. Maybe go with Chilo Rachal with 2B to play guard. I know for a fact its going to be Groves, Lofton, or Avril with 2A.

2b really needs to be a defender, not a QB. Curtis Lofton, Groves/Avril, Avion Cason, someone. 2b we could possibly see a surprise or a "reach" but we will see.

The Dolphins sent key offensive staffers to work out Chad Henne in Michigan on March 25 (a day after a Dolphins contingent met with Matt Ryan) and have told at least two people they like Henne and don't see a huge difference between Henne and Ryan. The Dolphins have made no contact with Delaware's Joe Flacco or his agent since interviewing Flacco at February's NFL Combine. One person in contact with the Dolphins said they've implied they aren't high on him. A representative for Brohm spoke to the Dolphins about scheduling a private workout and meeting, but Miami never did it.

We should have a moment of silence for our poor friend Adamprez, he might have to delete his sig now. He represented Matt Ryan valiantly, and well, poor guy, a moment . . . . . . That's enough, now lets GLOAT!:tongue2:

Seriously though, well not very, but I am soooooo happy we signed Jake, it all starts up front and we finally have a FO that gets it. Our OL can become NASTY now, Ronnie, Ricky and LoBook must be ecstatic! I know I am!

When an Ohio State fan is rooting for a Michigan player, either hell froze over or that Michigan player's going to be one heck of a player for his future pro team.

Its the NFL now. I always keep the Dolphins in the best intrest :D. Could have been a total Homer and been driving the Draft Gholston number 1 bus.

I actually liked what Jake Long said when they asked about Ted Ginn and how you feel playing with him. He is a great player and I respect, Yeah we'll talk some when "the Game" comes but were not in College anymore.

how do you think i felt last year? i am a gators fan watching ted ginn return a kick off for a td in the championship game when i found out ginns foot was hurt i was happy and was hoping he wouldnt comeback in the game

and when the fins drafted him i was worrying his foot wouldnt be healed by training camp:up:

Not like it would have mattered if Ginn got hurt. Oline just got beat off the edge while Troy Smith played the worst he ever played.

The foot was never a concern of mine. If he never got injured his stock never would have took a hit. Freaking Roy Hall!! I think jumping on teammates is the worst thing.

I was surprised we drafted him but overall it was great choice. Sure Okoye or Willis would have served the team better.
