Yeah, because you throw adolescent level insults on here at people who disagree with you as opposed to having a civil conversation about things. It's been your bread and butter for quite some time. Diss on Tua, complain because the team doesn't win the way you want them to despite them still winning. That part makes no sense to me whatsoever! At this point, your reason for hating Tua as much as you do must go way beyond football-related reasons (maybe it's personal?). It's like I'm arguing with an angst-ridden teenager here. Maybe you should find a healthier outlet than a Miami Dolphins forum.

I am in no way interested in carrying on this back and forth with you for the remaining portion of the week. If you feel the childish inclination to get the last word in before you slam your bedroom door, go right ahead. I wont be responding with anything other than laughter. If that helps to fulfill the limitations in your life, then feel free to do so. This is truly ridiculous how dug in you are on here. I'm not the only one on here that you do this with either. You act this way towards a lot of us. Oh and BTW...Please stop making all these burner/alternate accounts. I don't get that at all. That's a lot of time and energy being wasted on your part.

I try to look at my own flaws here and one of them is wasting time to respond to you. I need to just not do that because it's simply not worth the energy and nothing logically fulfilling is coming out of this. It's just bickering back and forth with a miserable human being who refuses to admit that they might possibly be wrong about something. I can't keep stooping to your level of torment! Do that all on your own...It's your choice!

I mean.... My god! It's been three years of this. We get it! You hate Tua! No need to keep reinforcing it. It's as if you'd rather whine and cry about each and every flaw the team has as opposed to simply appreciating the fact that we gutted out a tough win against a quality opponent to start the season. Sure...We got our asses kicked for three quarters (so did Buffalo against the Cardinals). But we came out with a win and that is all that matters.

I don't get the Tua haters. I don't think the guy is ever going to be Mahomes or Allen level, but the fact is, there just aren't that many QBs out there who are obtainable who even have the potential to be better. Look at what happened to the Browns selling their souls for someone who they thought MIGHT be able to take their team to the next level. Look at the rookie QBs drafted in the last few first rounds. There's only one drafted since Tua that I might take over him and that's CJ Stroud and I'm not even sure about him because he's only played for one season. Of the QBs drafted with Tua, Burrow is more talented but also even more injury prone. Herbert and Love got big contracts but I don't believe they've actually shown enough to deserve them.
Tua is what we have and he's not going anywhere. He's also the best QB we've had since Marino. Will he ever win a SB? I don't know but I do know we're not getting anything better anytime soon so why keep whining about it?

They're torn between wanting the Dolphins to win and wanting Tua to play bad so their initial evaluation of him remains correct. Hence the constant attempts to ascribe success to surrounding players and the constant goalpost moving (so that by at least some criterion they can still argue Tua was not the QB we should've picked).

It's just human nature, not willing to admit you're wrong on a grand scale. Some people have no issue with such admissions, others do.

As far as the rest of your post I agree. It's the first time we might have the type of HC + QB combo so many SB winning teams have. I'm now focused more on whether the defense is good enough than whether we can score when needed.

I don’t know Brad, our last 2 possessions, we seemed to be running the ball, and ran is pretty well, especially on the game tying drive.

Mostert, Achane, Wright and Wilson…it’s a pretty decent running back room. I don’t think it’s a matter of we can’t run the ball. I think it’s more of a decision whether or not to run the ball.

With as explosive as our offense is, I feel confident in being able to pick up a 3rd and 5 if we only gained 5 yards rushing on 1st and 2nd down. We just need to commit to it. Achane clearly demonstrated last season picking up 20+ yards on running plays is just as realistic as picking up 20+ yards on a passing play.

If we’re going to take that next step to being an elite team, we can’t be one sided offensively.

I'm glad they are giving Ingold an opportunity now to carry the ball. He has some big runs on third and short.

We only had one decent drive with the running game: 2nd to last drive. That last drive (winning drive) we averaged 1.6 yards per carry. Almost every team will have a good drive with the running game here or there. Problem is we can't do that consistently against most teams.

Our offense is designed for the threat of the pass to open up the run more than the other way around. For it to be run first — the style you prefer — you usually need a bruising type RB (we had a great one in Ricky Williams) or very good run blocking OL. We have neither. Our RBs are quick and good at catching passes. With this team the threat of the pass will likely lead to good rushing stats, but it's not the running game per se that leads to that. It's the threat of the pass (and of course all the padding done running out the clock in the 4th quarter typical of winning teams).

So yes we need balance, but not what you're thinking. The most important role for our running game is to keep defenses honest so they can't consistently take away the deep ball. They need to also convert short yardage situations.

I hesitate to make any judgements for the rest of the season based on this game. It felt like everything was a bit off. I want to give it 2-3 games before I can say for sure what we're going to look like the rest of the way.

Bro, Tua is signed long term here you may as well root for the team and his success or jump ship to the Jets or Bills.

Seriously.... Get over it. He isn't going anywhere, he is the starting QB and will likely retire a Dolphin. If you want to go the way of the draft and take a Justin Fields or a Zach Wilson type, or go the FA QB route like Deshaun Watson or Daniel Jones than more power to you.

Be gracious we have stability at the position with not only a top 10-QB but an honorable, respectable face of the franchise that doesn't have a mean bone in his body.. Did you skip out on the previous 22 years of this franchise sucking wind at the position with nothing but scrubs at the helm with the exception of one year from Pennington, 3/4ths of a year from Ryan and Fitztmagic 2019? You did made it seem like Ryan Tannehill was the second coming for 7 years, maybe you are still bitter that you were 100% percent wrong about that statute and are taking it out on Tua?

There will be no 10,000 post circle jerk about Tua here like there was for Ryan because the debate is settled. Over and done with. Focus on the positive.

I agree 100%. How many times do we see teams play bad only to end up far into the playoffs or teams that start out good end up missing the playoffs? What we see in weeks 4,5,6 are typically NOT what we see in weeks 15,16,17, or 18.

De we expect the Bengals to right the ship? I do.
Do we really think the Pats are better than the Bengals? I don’t.

Speaking of the Pats, it felt during the Brady era that they pretty routinely used the first 4 weeks as essentially tune-ups. They then worked their way into peak performance and began cresting during the stretch run and into the playoffs.

Personally, I prefer starting hot vs cold, but regardless I don't want to be backing into the playoffs like the last few years.

That said, I'm not sold on the Bengals. Burrow doesn't look fully healthy, Chase doesn't look happy, that team has some off vibes. They are also traditionally a slow starting team. At some point, you gotta ask questions.
