Week 5 bests and worsts - The Huddle - USATODAY.com

Worst surprise: Aided by blocks from Ricky Williams and QB Chad Pennington, Dolphins RB Ronnie Brown waltzed into the end zone after taking a direct snap (again) to give Miami a 17-3 halftime lead vs. San Diego. The Chargers had little answer to the play that bedeviled the Patriots in Week 3.

Best escape from a near-certain sack: Dolphins QB Chad Pennington avoiding Chargers defenders after falling into the end zone after the snap from the Dolphins' 1 in the fourth quarter. Pennington, whose feet got tangled along the offensive line, quickly got up, scrambled right and threw the ball out of bounds.

Totally forgot about that Penny trip, the way he recovered had poise written all over it. We have a smart qb who understands how to control a possession there.

In retrospect, cleo i guess would have tried to run it out of the endzone, almost guaranteeing a safety.

cleo would have fumbled the ball out the back of the endzone, and somehow caused our RB to get hurt in the process

Have to admit...it's kinda funny not having to complain about our QB anymore...Now, CP isn't Dan Marino, but he's also no Jay Fiedler, Ken Lucas, Joey Harrington, CPep, Frerotte, Cleo Lemon, etc, etc, etc....

But that was a real heads up play for CP to make by getting the ball out of his hands...could have (probably would have the last few seasons) been a safety very easily....
