Week 12 - Dolphins at Commanders

Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill didn’t miss much time after hurting his ankle against the Jets last Friday, but the issue was enough to keep him from joining the team at practice on Wednesday.

Hill was one of four Dolphins who did not take part in the team’s first practice session of the week. The issue didn’t slow him down much against the Jets as Hill caught nine passes for 102 yards and a score, so a return to work on Thursday would likely point in the direction of him playing against the Commanders.

Safety Jevon Holland (knees), tackle Kendall Lamm (back), and running back Raheem Mostert (ankle, knee) were also out of practice.

Running back De’Von Achane (knee), tackle Terron Armstead (knee, quad), running back Chris Brooks (knee), defensive back Elijah Campbell (shoulder), EDGE Bradley Chubb (knee), wide receiver Chase Claypool (knee), long snapper Blake Ferguson (ankle), offensive lineman Robert Hunt (hamstring), fullback Alec Ingold (foot, ankle), offensive lineman Robert Jones (knee), tight end Durham Smythe (ankle), and offensive lineman Connor Williams (illness) were all limited.

Quarterback Tua Tagovailoa is on the report due to the laceration he suffered on his right arm against the Jets, but was a full participant.

They’ve allowed 55 sacks so far, so he’s definitely a candidate for David Carr syndrome. On the plus side, he’s been helped by having Bienemy as his OC (and probably his next head coach).

As for the fumbles, he had 4 in the first two games. All 4 were on the center/QB exchanges. I think one of them was on him when he pulled out too fast. He's maybe had 2-3 clear fault fumbles this season that I can think of off hand.

Saying that, 10 INT's, halfway through the season, is too much...aggressive offense or not. He definitely needs to get better at that part of his game.

My bad with the INTs, guess I read it wrong that evening. Then it’s 14 fumbles and 10 INTs. That’s all I said he has to work on the turnovers because it’s a little to much atm.

I think they should rest all the starters and try to win with the backups.

Glad to see you're slowly coming around. Your prediction of the Dolphins going 10-7 and losing the division to the Bills is extremely unlikely now. Destroyer is known for negativity, so I fancy he'll take a bit longer to come around. But he will too eventually (I think lol).

This team just isn't good enough. They're going to wind up maybe 10-7, lose the division to the Bills and lose again in the first round of the playoffs. They're not going anywhere.

Yeah, well, I had no clue then just how badly the Bills would stumble. They hadn't lost to the Broncos yet at that time.

Yeah.. and they're not done stumbling! However, I do hope they somehow pull off an upset against KC. It's the only realistic hope for us to get a 1st round bye, which is still quite unlikely, but without a KC loss it's impossible.

I hate the Bills too, but the Dolphins' only high probability chance of a SB run is that 1st round bye. So I'll root for the Bills against KC.

I don't hate the Bills, I'm scared of them. They could lose to every other team in the damned league but they'd still beat us.

Once in the playoffs you're going to face teams that can beat you. Bills or no Bills that will be the same. So all else considered I think the most important thing is that 1st round bye. It's not just home field advantage, it's having to play one less playoff game. So yeah, still planning to root for the Bills against KC.

I watched the Bills loss last week and they played good football...it just wasn't quite enough for Philly (and the refs in Philly). They're still the Bills and I think they can take the Chiefs.

Sam Howell is quickly becoming one of my favorite quarterbacks. He grew up just a little ways away from where I live so I am rooting for him as a pro. Just not this Sunday. I actually think this one will be high scoring on both sides. I expect a shootout to be honest, but I think we'll win. Miami 45 Washington 31. Should be a fun game.

That is how I felt about Jarod Lorenzen. Talk about a cannon of an arm and an awesome athlete. He was clearly a man among the boys. Too bad he could not keep his weight in check.

I could see Armstead sitting out again, unless his backup is injured worse.

I feel very positive about this game.
