How does this comment fly under the radar? You are looking forward to seeing Tua struggle and/or fail, don’t even pretend you’re not. Here’s hoping they end the season strong and you can eat your own words.
He's such a fan, he'd prefer losing as long as Tua is the reason why it happened. Jests fan or nah, he's definitely not a fan of the Dolphins.
Still good that we don't need help anymore to get that #1 seed. All the necessary losses — one loss by KC and one by Jags — just happened. So we're in control of our ability to get that #1 seed. That's a big difference.
That game really made me happy since I struggle to root against Trevor (from Clemson). Once he was hurt though, it was very easy to root against Jax. Who dey!
With five wins, of course. Still a lot of football to play and although I'm confident in winning 4 of the last 5 or all 5, there's a lot that can still happen. It is great though that our scenario for the #1 seed is simply down to one word- win!
It's actually realistic to get that #1 seed even losing one game as long as we beat the Ravens. KC losing another isn't out of the question anymore (they're not playing that great), and Jags will probably lose another. So that Ravens game is absolutely crucial, unless of course the Ravens lose to both 49ers and Jags, or maybe to Pittsburgh. Then we have a game to give. Great spot to be in no matter how you slice it. Almost worth speculating about a SB matchup. Right now there's no team in the AFC that is clearly superior to us. But NFC is another story. Both Philly and 49ers would I think be favored against us. Silly to think that far? Yeah, well that's what some people said — take it one game at a time and just get into the playoffs first! — a few months ago when some of us were talking about the #1 seed. This could be the year guys. SB? Just maybe.
Could this not have been a more perfect football weekend for the Dolphins? We take care of our business in Washington. The Chiefs lose to the Packers The Jaguars lose to the Bengals Sorry to see Lawrence get injured but that lessens Jacksonville as a threat. KC is struggling and they could very well lose to Buffalo next week The only real threat to our getting the #1 seed is the Ravens…and ourselves. “It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas”
I'm pulling for Detroit. I honestly think SF is the only team in the entire league we would have a hard time keeping up with. Detroit would be a very winnable matchup for Miami.
When people get their feelings hurt because someone does not agree with what they say they claim they are not Dolphins fans. In the real word they call them racists, homophobes , etc etc.
Jags defense looked terrible. IF not for the Bengals coach calling some stupid trick plays they would have had an easier win.
Simple really, people need a place to vent. In real life how often does the news report GOOD news? In fact I believe at one time they tried an only good news channel and it bombed because no one watched.
Looked like the Bengals were trying hard to lose the game. Beathard fumbles on first play and Bengals try to be a hero and score instead of just falling on the ball to end the game.
I always tell the story of Dan Marino cussing me out as a teenager because I asked if he'd be in the Super Bowl that year. I try to stick to his "one game at a time" motto, but it's getting harder and harder to do that. The Titans shouldn't pose a threat and the Jets with Rodgers, well, who knows. I think he'd have a lot of rust and we'd still win easily. Dallas at home no longer feels scary either the way our defense has been playing. My focus wants to be on Baltimore, the game that will ultimately determine AFC seeding, but that's a month away still. For now, I'm trying my best to stick to Dan's philosophy- we can control practice today. We can control putting in quality reps this week, studying film, and doing everything we can to prepare for the next game. Today, the Titans are all that matter. That's our only job; beat the Titans while the rest of the league does whatever it does. PS everyone- we're on Monday night this week...a double-header with both games kicking off at the same time. I don't get that at all.
I can't speak for anyone else, but my feelings don't come into play on this forum. My sensibilities and fandom do. Calling a spade a spade isn't about emotions, it's about calling the person out for what they are. I disagree with a lot of people on this forum. There's no one else here (well, maybe one other person) that I think is not a Dolphins fan. And that's not questioning someone else's way to be a fan, it's questioning their fandom at its core. No fan actually roots for their QB to play bad. Not one. Criticism is part of being a fan. I criticize Tua. I think he's thrown too many picks this season. Too many boneheaded throws that, to me, looked like his head wasn't in the game. There's nothing wrong with that. If I were to openly root against Tua, then how could I be a fan of this team? The only people who root against certain players are fans of other teams.
You can make up whatever story you want in your head to make yourself feel better about attacking me. You said I'm not saying anything positive. But the facts are I said how insane Tyreek is, and got attacked for it. Tua has nothing to do with this, BUT some of you want it to be.
I've been told (don't know whether I believe it) that it's an experiment to see whether they should put the MNF games on ABC or ESPN permanently. Right now, they're on both.
ESPN is with the Manning brothers and at first, I really enjoyed it since they had behind the scenes conversations about the game and player perspectives. And I still like it, but it does somewhat feel like it diminishes the game being played on the field. I would prefer us to be on ABC instead of ESPN next week- I'm very happy this probably won't be a competitive game since we won't have the traditional commentary.
If that’s the case, I’m wondering what criteria they are using to make their decision. If it’s strictly ratings, neither game (while important to the Dolphins and Packers) is a barn burner with massive playoff implications. The only other factor (besides the Mannings) swaying viewership would be New York’s obvious impact as a media market.
was this one flexed? what other games do they have to choose from? beginning of season Dolphins vs Titans looked really good on paper.
Yes it is relevant, lying and being someone else than you say you are deserves to be banned actually. You act like you’re protecting his feeesom of speech rights lol.
if we suspect he is trolling he’s gonna get called out in it, no one can stop that unless you want to ban all of us
And you being able to discern who has anterior motives and agenda and the act of trolling to get a rise out of others is something of a moderators description If you’re going to allow people to post whatever they want just because it’s their option and it ends there you’re going to lose more than you gain The main forum has activity, club members are coming here trying to help make it active again.. We’re not stupid we all can tell when someone is just naive or antagonistic or just a hater
ESPN is apparently trying to make Monday night look more like a Sunday afternoon: https://sports.yahoo.com/why-2-monday-night-football-215216312.html Pretty bad idea, if you ask me.
Sounds like they are going to want the Manning's to do Redzone and talk about both games at the same time.
