While I'm not as high as others on Weeden, it's worth noting that the performance in the actual Senior Bowl game is much, much, much less important than the overall performance in the week of practice. And, having been there personally multiple times this week, I can attest to the fact that Weeden did look good in practice. That being said, Weeden did look terrible today. In all my years going to the Senior Bowl (and I have lived in Mobile, Alabama for 26 years) I've never seen a worse performance across the board by a group of QBs like I did today. Foles had the best performance of any QB on the day and even he didn't look like someone I'd want running my NFL team.
Definitely no wow factor with any of the quarterbacks in the Senior Bowl. If anything it drives up the value of Luck, RGIII and Flynn. Moore was the best of the lot and he still didn't wow anyone IMO. There maybe some good prospects in the bunch but no one who's going to step right in and turn a team around.
well I wont defend Weeden and I will consider that Peyton Manning will be a high risk investment but our qb luck just isnt good. so I have to say lets get Matt Flynn or Manning. but I will say this I think Weeden needs a guy like Mike Shula or don Strock to help him somewhat. maybe we should trade up and get luck and then use undrafted free agents and veteran free agents and focus on tightend and oline like many have said . our choices seem to be dwindling by the week .
Some on here do or at least did , it was also stated he would be a top 5 NFL QB almost immediately , just checking to see if that is still the held belief by those.
I felt that at the time and agree with you. However I may be wrong and they may be correct , we'll see.
