First off, if you're an MMA fan and haven't watched the WEC.....start. The WEC is owned by the UFC and basically houses everything below lightweight, though the WEC also has a 155-pound class. Eventually it will merge into the UFC. The point being, the WEC rarely puts on a bad show. The cards are generally outstanding with plenty of action. The lighter weights generally makes for better stamina and more action. And 99 percent of these shows are free to see on Versus (they had their first PPV in April). Tonight you have a chance to watch arguably the most dominant fighter in in MMA; 145-pound champion Jose Aldo. Dude is an absolutely vicious striker. His lone career loss came 5 years ago. In his last fight, former champ Urijah Faber became the first man in 3 years to to fight Aldo and not lose consciousness. But the Faber could barely stand due to leg kicks. Tonight he gets reinvigorated Manny Gamburian, the former UFC 155'er. Should be good.
They put on the best shows period! Plus they're free and it is a stacked card! Really pumped about tonights show. Aldo is a beast, looking forward to the Torres fight too. I have never watched a bad WEC card.
You said it. I look forward to these. Really curious to see what Torres has tonight. It was what, a year ago that Torres was untouchable? He still looked shell-shocked against Benevidez.
No.Can.Do. Jersey shore night.Who cares about Jose and Manny...I'll be watching Angelina vs the Situation!!!
Yup. Cut his head in the process! Next three fights should be good. - sent from my Android via Tapatalk -
Aldo does it again. When he gets a guy on the ground, he explodes and finishes. Manny was out cold. Aldo is untouchable right now. Right there at the top is the P4P list. - sent from my Android via Tapatalk -
