We literally don't deserve Minkah

He will be a HIGE part of the next defense trust me!! Also I expect he will be in a fixed position

Why would a Dolfan write a post saying the team doesn't deserve this guy? What team you pulling for?

I absolutely love his passion, willingness to study, and reliability. But he is a rookie, and soon enough, he is gonna realize the Dolphins are doing him dirty. If it wasn't for his exceptional character, I would guess he'd be pulling himself out of games in a few years.

He gathered some stats downfield, but man, that tape is ugly..he had one decent game against us, the rest wasn’t worth the 11th pick in the draft I’ll tell you that much..

I root for the Dolphins to run themselves like a professional organization. By doing so, we will attract other talent bettering our team as a whole.

We have sucked for a while.

Edmunds had a very good season considering he was a 20 year old rookie. He led the team with 121 tackles and 12 pass breakups. He will only get better going forward. Sky is the limit for him. He would have been a great pick for us. I was not wrong, try again Dan.

Raekwon and Jerome had higher PFF grades with lots of reps as sample size..
Film backs that up..he was ranked 69th..

He’s young I’ll give him that but no way over Minkah or any other first rounder in that range..

Edmunds had significantly better production than either McMillan or Baker this year. He had lot more tackles than either of them, way more PDs, more ints, more forced fumbles, more TFL, more QB hits.

PFF grades not withstanding, it was a very impressive season for the 20 yr old rookie.

Well all I say about this is that Edmunds is the guy I wanted in the 1st, but I don't think anyone saw Minkah dropping to us. I would still have preferred Edmunds but I'm fine with Fitzpatrick.

He’s young, we disagree on him as a player, I watched every one of his reps and I’m confident in my statement, I don’t think he will live up to top 15 draft status, and I think we all will be happy we didn’t go there with the 13 th pick, you do and I’m cool with that..

I think you are not taking into account all of the variables. He was a 20 year old rookie starting at middle linebacker in a defense which requires a lot from and puts a lot of pressure on the Mike. Offenses were targeting him all season and he got progressively better as the season went along. That tells you he is learning and once he has the mental aspect down and experience under his belt he will be great.

I took in all the variables..just didn’t want to wait for him to develop instincts..

He has played numerous positions because, guess what, he knows how to play numerous positions. One of the main reasons we drafted him was for his flexibility. Instead of looking at it and being frustrated for some reason, you should be thankful that we snagged an awesome player who can basically play all over the field and make plays.

It is clearly frustrating to him. He is on a team that is not trying to win, and now with two different coaching staffs, he still does not have certainty.

I think it is fair to say that it is frustrating to both me and him.

You were correct with your initial assessment of Minkah and the situation. However, I disagree the team (Flores and players) are not trying to win. There are a ton of things for our coaches and players to learn ( fundamentals, learning the scheme, improving their technique, etc.)over the next 15 games that can help us next season. No doubt this season will be tough, but that is the attitude I think the coaches and players should have.
