Michael Floyd cleared to play in Navy game. He is back we need him the rest of the way. Hopefully with him we can take out Pitt run the table and win a BCS game. I know we have the talent anyway but this gives us back the top receiver tandem in the country. Yeah i said it. Now we have capable receivers with Tate and Floyd then Parris, Kamara, Goodman, Toma, Evans, Walker and Kyle Rudolph. With Allen, and Hughes pounding the rock and Reddick getting some plays I am excited for the rest of the year. I am in a serious bromance with Floyd and Tate
Not quite. Though given the position they're in atm, I'm glad they decided to just call it a season and give it that old college try next year.
Grats to Golden Tate for winning the Belitnikoff (sp?) award. Guy's a stud who we'll miss. So, thoughts on the Kelly hire? Hard to be overly excited for a coaching hire at this point. He seemed to be the logical, and most likely, hire from the get go. He's done a great job at Cincinnati, but ND's a different ball game. Hopefully he can recruit like Weis, but coach like someone who actually gets the most out of their players talents. I'm a little nervous about the hire, but I'll stay cautiously optimistic until I see how he finish the recruiting season and gets going a little bit. So far we only lost Chris Martin, who has silently been gone for a month, whether Weis stayed or not. And we picked up Louis Nix, who helps out at a need position. Some recruits have already said they like the Kelly hire, so hopefully we dont see too many of these guys jump ship.
Be honest with you Shoes, I don't think Kelly is the right guy for ND. Weis just departed, the offensive guru, to be replaced by another offensive guru with no Qb to work with heading into 2010. Maybe Fitzgerald from Northwestern may have been the better choice imho.
Kelly is better than Weis thats for sure. Kelly turned Cincy around he is going to get better player. ND might somewhat be overrated but they wont be bad like when Weis was controlling the team.
I'm not a Notre Dame fan, but I think Brian Kelly is a great hire for that program. IMO, he's this year's version of the 2004 Urban Meyer. He has put Cincinnati into back to back BCS bowls. He turned the Central Michigan program around. He won national championships at Grand Valley State.
