I've tried to catch some UFL games mostly to see if there were any players who I thought could play in the NFL this season and a surprising name has stood out: Fmr Bengal Odell Thurman, he had a great rookie season for Cinci and then got lost to injury and indifference and drug abuse. Back in shape, he is clearly the best player on the field and does everything from play defense to play special teams.
Yeah, that is a part of what makes it interesting. What does surprise me is the recently released from the NFL do not tend to make much of an impact, JP Losman was a starter and first round draft choice who is mediocre at best in the UFL.
Much like his NFL career. I kinda have to agree with Soprano. If it doesnt bite when its a puppy, it never will.
Well, Losman has Fossil who is a good Qb coach, they rarely let him throw deep though. Thurman is #52 for FL, he looks good. And supposedly Simeon Rice was to play in the UFL but I've yet to see him play.
Probably because Fassel doesnt want him throwing picks like he did in Buffalo. By the way Randy Mueller is their GM(Las Vegas).
Hmm..I had thought Mule was a Asst Asst GM somewhere in the NFL...like Seattle maybe? Sometimes Losman looks good, mostly he doesn't do any one thing very well, and he is a tiny guy.
i'd love to watch some UFL games, but until they show it on TV (real TV, not "versus"), i think the league won't be successful. how many people have versus? I don't know a single person who gets that channel. don't feel like watching the games on my laptop, either.
Hah! The UFL is massively lucky to have a TV deal in their first year, without that they wouldn't last a single season.
Which team will Ted Ginn and his family be playing on in 2010? The Florida team? That's if the league lasts longer than Ginn does on the Dolphins.
I think it is meant to denote a sabertooth tiger? Simeon Rice is finally playing, #97 for the NY Sentinnels.
