Nice find. I thought this was interesting on the Dolphins and Ryan. "The Miami Dolphins, who have the No. 1 pick, were hoping for a great pro day to enhance Ryan's value. It just didn't happen." I'm dissapointed in Flower's workout.
I was not happy with Matt Ryans work out. I was hoping if he did good we could trade down a little because more teams would want to trade up to get Matt Ryan
I hope the Fins' FO is smart enough to take into account a player's whole career when judging them, not just a well-practiced pro day.
I agree. I think pro days and the combine are very overrated. In football you play with pads not in under armor and tight track shorts or whatever those are nowadays, and teams wonder how players come out a bust? Its because they depend so much on the combine results and assume if he can do that in track clothes, he can transfer that same result in football pads. I agree with you that teams should watch more tape instead of depending on the combine/pro day results. You can actually see how each player responds to pressure, certain situation, against a top notch player, offense, or defense.
nice find there FFIC. Thanks for the share. I would really love it if we could get this guy. I watched him alot, seeing as i'm a michigan fan, he is one talented receiver. Picture this: - ginn jr. - manningham - wilford i like it! just hope the old rivals ginn and manningham can get along! haha
I never understood that. How do they improve their forty times like that? What is the difference at a pro day and the combine?
There are drills you can do, different types of turf, [cynical] different performance-enhancing drugs...
I'm not, Flowers should be viewed as a future Chernobyl, leave that player alone, in no manner, shape nor form should Brandon Flowers be on our radar.
Are you saying that he shouldn't be on our radar because of the whole hood thing or because you dont believe in his talents? Just asking. Thanks.
Tis is da monet we make in 3 dayz in da drug bizness.. Flowers can play, why subject the team to the "first ever" that a drive by on a NFL practice squad went down? And in this, I will take a good citizen type who gives up 2/10ths of a second in speed to have a guy who will give 100%.
it is a shame about brandon flowers i really like him but i didnt know about his face book pics, the guy has talent but i really dont want a pacman jones type either with amazing talent but will be a headache and might not even play
what was in the facebook pictures? If that's all it is, then I'm no concerned, I know a ton of decent people who took stupid pictures. Now if it's facebook plus other stuff, well that is a concern. Nicks really really screwed himself too. What an idiot. Arrested after refusing to leave when a cop told him to. A cop told him to leave and he wouldn't. Dumb.
I believe there was money spread out on a bed and there was a "white substance" that was identified as cocaine on the side.
http://www.collegiatetimes.com/stories/2008/01/02/flowers_has_questionable_photo_on_facebook here is the details
Yep...... "In the bottom right corner of the picture, which was in his photo album, "Dot," added on May 27, 2006, is a small plastic baggie containing what appears to be a white substance."
Oh comeon it's not even him! Look, unless he wears pointy toe high heels! Lol, that's an even worse infraction then the photo with the coke ("I don't know what that is" yeah right!) I'd personally rather have a dopeman than a cross-dresser! Yeah he is dumb as hell to have a photo like that on his facebook.
