    Really? I'm dilusional?
I point out that within the division and head to head we killed you, and you count the two wins that were handed to you? Hmmmmm
You do realize, without those two wins that were absolutely handed to you, we have identical records? Right?

Granted, the Colts laid down. The Bengals? Nice try. They got blown out in the first half and then pulled everyone early in the second half.

Even if you still wanna use that bull**** argument for the Bengal game, keep in mind that the Jets still beat them the week after, IN CINCY.

If your line is that good then it shouldn't have slowed you down that much. Got peetes sake we lost our Pro Bowl running back and still ended up ranked 4th in the league. Oh ya we also lost our Center and had to play musical chairs at guard. If you line is as good as you think it is they should have been able to plug in your third string back and he still should have broken 100 yards.

Now you know what the Dolphins had to deal with a month before the season ended. With Ronnie in the game Miami is clearly better, as evidenced by the 2-0 head to head and 4-2 division record. They even won a couple of games before Ricky wore down.

Sure they did. Just like the JETS laid down for the Dolphins. Twice. Had to make the point that sometimes the better team doesn't win. Twice.

BY making excuses such as "our RB got hurt". He got beat up in the game, not 3 weeks prior, the Colts were hitting HARD that game. Dont hate...give them the respect theyre due.

Its hard to make that argument when you havent beaten us in nearly 2 years.

The guy had to have his offense dumbed down numerous times and he still has shown next to nothing. Maybe thats because he's a rookie, maybe he is a wasted pick, time will tell.

The Jets backed into and lost in the playoffs and they are still an above average football team.

Shefter is reporting a quote from Rex Ryan saying they plan on tendering Braylon with a 1st and a 3rd.

I can't help but think that is a HUGE mistake. Braylon reminds me of Ginn - he is good for a few deep plays but isn't consistent enough to be considered a top 15 WR.

Anyone know what the average salary of the top 5 paid WR in the league would be?

    PS17, thoughts?

I just read a bleacher report (Iknow, I know) that stated that Crayon was very verbal about not getting any touches in the second half yesterday.
I personally hope they do stick the tender on him.
A match made in heaven
EDIT: By verbal, I am referring to bashing the playcalling.

He has his problems thats for sure, but he's much better option than what we have and as we all know getting decent receivers isn't easy. If he was a Dolphin I would expect the F.O to tender him a decent contract as well.

And pay him top 5 WR money?
This guy drops as many passes as he catches....maybe more.

I honestly don't think he is a better option than what we have.

I've watched every Browns game for the last 3 years - his hands make Ginn look like Jerry Rice. I'm not kidding. Browns fans HATE him because he dropped so many important passes. Look at his stats for his career and even this year after the trade. He is NOT an impact player.

Well, I'm in no way a GM, BUT if you were to over pay a player an uncapped year is the perfect time to do it. Front load the money so that it has very little to no impact the following year when a CBA is back in place.

Just for reference, the top 5 WR would average out to about $9.5 mil.

People complain about Ginn's < $3 mil contract to be fast and drop passes - I'd rather not triple that AND add a prima donna attitude for the same production.

Well, Not really going to argue for him or against Ginn any more than I have, but if you compare both of their stats its not even close man

Okay, let's go a different route, where do you place him (roughly) in regards to other WR's in the league?
    Top 40?
    Top 30?
    Top 10?
There's no need to grodsly overpay the guy regardless of the CBA, but I certainly hope they do.

Well, that's a pretty wide range. Top 30 for sure. Let me get one thing straight though please. I'm not an Edwards fan. I love playing the devils advocate as much as the next guy but I don't want to do it for a Jet lol. I'm just saying for a team like the jets that really can't sign a FA and with limited draft picks it wouldn't be the dumbest thing for them to do what they can to keep him and with no CBA in place it may just be their best option.

I'm not saying he is the equivalent of Ginn - saying that he provides a very similar skill set but with even larger issues than what we already complain about with Ginn (bad hands, tendency to disappear).

And I did look at their stats and other than that 2007 year he is giving around 800 yards and 3tds. We all complained when Ginn did that last year - now you want to pay $9.5 million for it?

I understand your point that we need to upgrade the position and take a chance on a player to take our offense to the next level. I'm just saying that there are better options out there. Edwards has bad hands, disappears often and has a prima donna attitude (complaining to media and on the sidelines).

For $9.5 mil, a 1st and 3rd I would much rather have Marshall.

If the dolphins were to single out Edwards as their choice for a reciever upgrade I will be very disappointed.

I was under the impression you were arguing that Miami should have traded for Braylon and that the price tag wasn't that great.

Arguing the Jets should keep him is a completely different argument for the reasons you bring up above. I still don't think they should but very much understand the thinking on the other side.

Not discarding it, but if it happened once all season...its...questionable.
I saw a qb who was told not to throw the ball.
They are good, but they are 33-32 respectivly. 2 years and they are gone.
I think there will be a cba, so this **** is overblown.

Im just not sold on Sanchize. Not once this season when you run games has hit the wall, has he shown that he can win games.
Better yet, he found ways to lose. And yes, he improved...but he can throw 20 or so passes for so long, once you guys fall behind in a game, you have to throw...
